No offense to Heath…
Many people prefer his version of the Joker because he’s closer to a product of our own time. The original Joker, by comparison, really doesn’t seem all that crazy or scary. Which when you REALLY think about it…that just shows how far into hell whilst sitting in a hand-basket the world has gone.

Wow. His armor makes me very sad. It’s VERY obviously plastic and only one piece trying to look like it’s more. For such a high budget movie they could have done so much better as far as costumes and actors go…

funny thing is that heavy duty ballistic vests aside. most of the armor variations being designed or proposed by defense and police supply contractors, are to some degree or another, various types of PLASTICS and Composites
I’m seeing this movie now as a metaphor of this election. Obama is Batman (Bamman, Barackman?)–he’s the Dark Knight, he’s the protector of Chicago, and he’s being unfairly accused of terrible things he didn’t do. When the traditional crooks (John McCain) can’t prevail against the Batman, they bring in someone who wears a lot of makeup, smiles a lot, and is a total wack-job–Sarah Palin! Someone paint a “why so serious?” smile on that woman and you’ll see–it all fits.

The day Heath Ledger died
The day I turned 18.
I will forever remember his death because
a monumental day for me, was a sad day for Him.
May heath Ledger Rest In Peace.
it couldn’t have been a sad day for him, dead people don’t have emotions….
Heath Ledger was an idiot that overdosed. A soldier dying is a tragic death. A man killed in a motor vehicle accident is tragic.
Overdosing on pain meds because you are a whack-job is not tragic, it is stupid.

i heard from a friend who did a TON of research on Heath after his death that to get into character for the Joker, Heath locked himself in a haunted house, tied himself to a chair, and forced himself to watch illegal X-rated movies (the ones with people’s limbs getting ripped off, decapitations, etc.) on a loop until he found them funny. he literally turned from Heath Ledger to the Joker…there was no turning back…he overdosed because he was having nightmares from watching all those movies, so he couldn’t fall asleep. since he couldn’t sleep without the pills, he accidentally overdid the dosage, making him OD…it was a sad day in my household…
so was the death of patrick swayze, but that’s another story
he sure is…
