That bithdate means he’s little over a year younger than me. Yet, he looks like he’s 40 in that picture, mainly because of his head/face.
He’s the guy who has made the autotune effect ubiquitous in pop music.

T-Pain: An R&B artist who LITERALLY cannot sing a note to save his life. His entire career is dependant on a VOCODER. Yes. A vocoder. Every single song he has ever made, he has made by putting his voice through a vocoder. “No talent” is actually pretty accurate.
This guy does have talent. Its called producing and making money.
no producing is like being the first guy to hear the song and say i like it or i dont like it and making money is a result of “producing” but really a voicebox to cover his lack of talent is really the only way he gets a way with it.

I happen to LIKE T-Pain, and I’m one of those suburban white kids who has pretty good musical taste. Not like the stereotypical white kid from the suburbs who is an aspiring rapper… right. I happen to like hip-hop, rap, rock, R&B, techno, and a teeny-tiny-bit of pop. And personally, I like T-Pain, as I said.

I saw T-Pain live recently at a concert in Huntsville, AL. I can safely say that he sucks the biggest, harriest, nastiest balls around. I had to listen to 2 horrid hours of him. Play a clip of a song, play the explosion sound, yell “put your hands up in the air, alabama!”, wash, rinse, repeat. There was NOTHING ELSE. Note that this was an outdoor venue where other bands, with real instruments, were playing before them. I have to admit that T-Pain is aptly named, because he causes t’ pain in everyone’s head and ears. All those who claim that he is the best DJ around need to hear that lack of a performance. You make me sick. DJs play music.
T-Pain came to perform at my college’s Homecoming last year. Not only was he two hours late, he came in drunk, insulted the audience (“ya ‘lina hoes” was one of his statements), sang two songs horribly, and left. And despite the hefty ticket fee (35$ just for students, faculty and staff paid 40 and outsiders paid 50) people on this campus still rave about his “talent”.
Regardless, T-Pain is just another manufactured persona, no different than Hanna Montana and the Jonas Brothers, just marketed to a different demographic.
