1st, prove to any1 that the JB have ANY grade of talent. put themon stage in front of the american idol judges. cant dispute that cuz so many of you little kiddies love the manufactured talent thats come off those stages.

they ARE out of tune TECHNICALLY. get a tuner and test them IN CONCERT. they are boys in puberty and cant reach their notes or control their voices like a grown man does. they ‘rock’ in your opinion doesn’t count for the simple fact you have fact to back it up. besides that, what they are playing ISN’T rock; rock is Foo fighters, Pearl Jam, etc. boy/girl children havent any amount of talent in comparison.

besides, wikipedia is supported by fans/average people, unlike a regular site like spin magazines website, or rolling stone magazine.

I don’t like the Jonas Brothers. They are lousy singers. Having said that, there is WAY too much hatred on this site. The Jonases cannot carry a tune in a bucket, but it does not follow that they are therefore gay – in fact, many gay singers are actually VERY talented which seems to almost PROVE the Jonas Brothers can’t be gay (think KD Lang, Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge, Elton John, etc). As to all the Janis, Jimi etc fans – many of them cannot carry a tune in a bucket either no matter how soulful they may be. Besides, have you NEVER heard of music from eras other than the 70s, 80s and 90s? Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Dinah Shore, Rosemary Clooney, Perry Como, Cab Calloway, Doris Day (you did know she could sing, right?), Dean Martin, Judy Garland, Artie Shaw, the Andrews Sisters, Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday, Mario Lanza, Connie Francis, Howard Keel, Frankie Avalon and the list goes on and on and on!! Let’s not forget other genres besides rock either: Reba McEntire, the Tenors, Celtic Woman, Harry Connick Jr., Barry Manilow, Clint Black, Shania Twain, etc etc etc – there are far too many to even BEGIN to name! As to the kids who like the Jonas Brothers, I liked Wham! and New Kids on the Block when I was a little kid (under 12), then I grew up and thought “Ugh, what WAS I thinking?”. Trust me, these Jonas fans WILL grow out of it in time, but if you keep being so vitriolic about your hatred of the Jonas Brothers, it may make their fans more defensive and more likely to stay fans longer than they normally would. So, if you really want the Jonas Brothers to fade away, stop giving their fans reasons to be more obsessive! You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, you know…

I dislike the Jonas Brothers, period. I’ve not heard a lot of their songs, but that’s enough for me. It only takes a song or two for me to determine whether I like a group or not. Their voices grate on my ears, and their lyrics are pointless. I could eat a dictionary and poop out better writing.

I’m a junior in high school, and I’m a girl. No, I don’t play guitar, and I don’t sing outside the house, unless a friend of mine will sacrifice his/her dignity with me.
Yes, I dislike a lot of mainstream groups, but not all. I’ll listen to just about anything once (so long as it isn’t dropping the F bomb every two seconds), and I’m flexible with my musical taste.

But no matter how flexible I am… the Jonas Brothers really are quite talentless. Fans, get over it, and fellow anti-JBers, stop beating a dead horse. Thanks.

Please, no replies telling me what a hater and a bigot I am. I beg of you. My brain cells can’t take much more.

Not true. As much as I love the Jonas Brothers, I agree with my dad in that they can NOT be the next Beatles. The Beatles are such an inspiration (and didn’t they make up some incredible chord patterns or something?) so it’s only if – IF – the Jonas Brothers do that that they can be compared to the Beatles. And FYI, by an ‘inspiration’, I mean to other artists and inspiring artists, not brainless, mindless clones who, unfortunately, seem to make up a considerable amount of fans – and also that all they seem to be able to say about JB is that they’re ‘totally awesome’ and that people don’t like them because they’re ‘jealous’. The jealous reason can only be in utter minority.

Oh my God!!! I’m a huge fan myself but my reaction to someone against them depends how horrible they are about them. If someone says something like “ugh, they’re stupid,” I’ll just let it be, but if they’re constantly insulted then I’m going to react strongly. And you’re basically just saying the same thing, only the other way around: any JB fan is “close-minded”? Ask anyone I know and they will tell you the complete OPPOSITE of that.

Have you listened to ‘A Little Bit Longer’? When they first sang that live (it’s on YouTube) Nick started crying. But wait, I guess the anti-JB will say Nick’s diabetes is just a publicity stunt. (Hi again, sarcasm!)

It’s hard to get meaning BEHIND words. Shakespeare was brilliant at that.

But does this mean that I can’t write music either? Everything I write is similar in such a way that it’s about love and the meaning is obvious – who says you have to think about it??? Most people can’t even do that – has anyone actually attended your average English class when they’re trying to figure out what a poem means?

Disney didn’t create the Jonas Brothers. They’re signed with Hollywood Records, which is admittedly owned by Disney, but they were with another company for at least a year before that.
