You are TOO anal retentive for the internet. Please leave, step outside and try and learn TO live your life without having TO correct all mistakes you run into. Living such a stressful existence may prove TOO much for you to handle.
TO hell with that. Learn TO speak and write the damn language. If we’re going TO insist that immigrants learn English, then we should make an effort to speak it well TOO.
The captioner didn’t *speak* it. He wrote it, as are you.
Also… it is grammatically incorrect to end sentences with adverbs.
So… really… the English language would like to give you an “E” for effort, and thanks you for your interest, but kindly asks that you cease and desist defending something you clearly do not yourself understand.
Since when was it incorrect to end sentences with adverbs? It took me all of half a minute to find an instance in bloody Tolkien (the adverb was “before”, by the way). And even if you were attempting to refer to the conception that you can’t end a sentence with a preposition, that too is generally bunk — while some words that end sentences appear to be prepositions, they are actually used in that way as adverbs — that is, an integral part of the verb’s meaning that happens to be separable and mobile.

Wow, you’re not making any presumptions, are you? Just because I think people make themselves look awfully stupid by mixing up simple things like “to” and “too” you assume that I /hate/ them? In my small company (less than 50 employees) I look for proper English as an indication of intellectual rigor. Diplomas mean nothing, even our President has an MBA from an Ivy League school and he certainly can’t speak proper English. The only totally trustworthy indication of intellectual prowess and self pride is the quality of the applicants speech and whether or not he has more than one language. My most innovative employee has one year of college and I ask him to proof some of my letters. If you are inarticulate, as far as I’m concerned, you’re unemployable.
My ‘no diploma’ guy would have caught the missing apostrophe. The good thing about being surrounded by smart people who are well spoken is that we are not surrounded by ‘dese dem and dose’ guys who would drag us down to their level. We don’t use buzzwords, we know not to ‘verbify’ nouns, we solve instead of solution, we talk instead of dialoga, we finish instead of finalize. We know that it matters.
