Unlike the Jonas* Brothers, they didn’t have their 5 seconds of fame and die out. Also, I may add that Avenged Sevenfold writes ALL of their songs, unlike the Jonas Brothers who have someone write most of them for them. The members of a7x are actually musically inclined. Want an amazing example? Go and listen to “Warmness on the Soul”. Matt Shadows composed this amazing composition. The Jonas Brothers would never be able to write that well. It has amazing technique, melody and rhythm. So before going and posting crap about someone’s musical abilities, maybe you should look into it before trolling.(: I’m sorry if I’m using words you can’t comprehend! You were probably like 13! And according to this picture, Synyster Gates is gay.. When in reality, he and the lead singer, Matt Shadows, are both happily married to gorgeous twin women. Avenged Sevenfold is my favourite band, but this is pretty funny.
The only reason I find it funny, though, is because Avenged Sevenfold don’t even consider themselves metal. They have all types of genres throughout their music.
They’re influenced by a lot of metal bands, yes. But, they’re also influenced by country music, hip hop, and even a lot of Elvis Costello and Frank Sinatra music.
Maybe Synyster Gates has made metal look gay, but that’s just because Synyster’s feminine. End of story. :]

Well, that’s only because the 80s in general looked gay. Not just metal bands.
Although the glam metal bands looked about twice as gay as the 80s (GnR, Poison), there were still good metal bands (Maiden and Sabbath for example) who only looked as gay as the times, no more.

Avenged Sevenfold has to possibly be the best band live I have heard. Been to three of their concerts and my favorite band of all time. Apparently the rest of you who say they suck think they can change other people’s views. Your opinion doesn’t matter. Possibly neither does mine. I was a fan since Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and I am happy for it. I love their music, I think it is amazing, and Synyster Gates is one amazing guitarist. If you don’t like it, Oh well. They aren’t metal either as stated above in numerous comments, they are a blend of a lot and their music is quite amazing in my opinion. I’m betting half of you who hate A7X are Studioforce fans too :l Fail.

Avenged Sevenfold, and Slipknot are very similar in terms of fanbase. They all consist mainly of people who are extremely and intensely possessive towards the band, and who feel that any insult to the band is on par with a obscene insult directed at their mother. That is why metal fans dislike them.The bands make metal look bad. You and I may know they are not metal, but does your average joe know that?

This is ridiculous, a7x is an amazing band, they have some of the most varying styles in the own little genre. and this is the truth each member is more talented than anyone on this site, so there is no real reason for these comments. Eg. Johhhny Christ is a sick bassist, in his own right. but syn is just amazing. He is in his own class, up there with Hendrix and Page, but the qualirt of the stuff he is performing is increasing, such as the new album, with songs like welcome to the family and nightmare.
