Just here to say that I know girls who are thinner than her, even a great deal thinner than her, quite naturally. I know for a fact that none of them are eating disordered — what’s to say Keira is? She’s absolutely beautiful, something to aspire to.

The sad part is, it’s not the fact that men have changed what they want. The average man wants boobs, ass, obvious naughty bits, and a decent personality. Women, on the other hand, used to want to be pale and fat, and now they all want to be skinny and tan. Weird. Personally, I’m perfectly happy with my so-called fat body.

Ok, unless you are using hyperbole, that is a classic case of hyperthyroidism. My cousin has it. Forced her to quit playing soccer because she just couldn’t keep her weight up. Now she’s on meds and playing golf. :/

I dunno – I always felt it was the women bashing each other. I hardly know any guys that likes the really skinny broads. Most guys seem not to care too much about weight as such, as long as a girl isn’t either obese or so thin her bones are sticking out.

But for some reason us girls like to find faults with all women, ourselves included…

That said – the dress in this pic does make Keira look like she’s got the body of a young boy.

(Oh, and yes, men sure could pay more attention to their own shortcomings. You’re absolutely right about that.)

Except for the fact that if you look closely, you can CLEARLY see she has a little more ‘heft’ about her in that screen cap. Corsets don’t work the kind of miraculous insta-tit job you seem to be alluding to. I wear corsets regularly, and one has no more effect on the chesticles than a decent push-up bra would.

Honestly, it is more that dress that makes her looks sickly, and not that she doesn’t have enough body fat. The “doesn’t quite qualify as a loin cloth” dresses never really make people look right. And as I am overweight and have a tendency to harshly judge most thin people as “too thin” that’s saying something.
Her arms don’t look like toothpicks, though. She’s a nice, fit girl. Just not a lot in the boob department.

Yes, it’s possible for a fast metabolism to make someone that thin. A friend of mine is 5’7″ and eats almost non-stop (even gets up in the middle of the night to snack) in an effort to keep her weight above 100 pounds. Although people assume she’s anorexic, there’s nothing wrong with her health – she’s not starving herself, she’s not using drugs, she’s not overexercising, that’s just her metabolism, and she makes Keira Knightly look like a blimp.

I must be a figment of someone’s imagination then, because my metabolism hasn’t been as fast as it is now since i was twelve. Nothing otherwise abnormal in my medical file, but for some reason, i currently have to eat about 3600 calories a day to *maintain* my weight (6’2″, 206 lbs) and i can easily consume up to 7500 calories in a day with no adverse effect. A girl i dated when i was in college had the same sort of build as Ms. Knightley in spite of the fact that between the two of us we could easily kill three large, well-topped pizzas in about an hour and in the 16 years since that time, she has only gained (by my estimate) about ten pounds (5’2″ and now probably about 114 lbs and still a bit small about the chest)
