That shot is from an episode called “The Furies”. In the scene you clearly see Lucy (as Xena) spinning the Chakram on her fingertip. There may have been some photo trickery involved, but at no time did her hands leave her body. (For the record Kevin Sorbo was *not* in that episode *and* that is Xena’s gauntlet that you see…)

In some episodes they had her fingernails really short, I guess to make her look “butch” (She is a warrior, what were you expecting, a manicure?) or there’s no real reason behind it. because in other episodes she has longer, more shapely fingernails.
