Ahh duct tape, a campers best friend!
I love Red Green, with a small and mighty passion.
I knew Canadians were good for something…..
DUDE!
Canadians have done alot for the world.
Insulin, pacemakers, snowmobile, washing machine, wireless radio, sonar, tracer bullets, television, standard time, basketball, cobalt bomb, electron microscope, green ink, ice hockey, kayak, lacrosse, speed of sound, tipi, telegraph, the zipper, velcro, telephone, goalie masks..
JUST TO NAME A FEW.
You forgot gravy on french fries.
You forgot the cheese with that gravy.
You forgot Beiber and Celine Dion.
Good Answer Canadian!!!!I love Canada and it’s policies. Canada never gets meritted credit—no one gets meritted—in American history books or classes. We are constantly brainwashed to believe we have the greatest country in the world. How can we NOT love Canada?TToni9@Twitter
Somebody would have invented all that anyways, doesn’t matter what country it originated in.
But yeah the red green show is hot.
1: While Canadian-born, Dr. James Naismith invented basketball while living and working in the US for a US university.
2: Insulin is a hormone, and it’s name is from the German word Insel, meaning island or islet. If you mean the medicinal form, in which area I do believe a group of two Canadians and one US American were firsties with commercial products (though of poor quality), do specify.
3: The first known pacemaker was made in 1889 by J. A. McWilliam in Britain, and several others followed before John Hopps in 1950.
4: There was no magical Christian-like creation of the snowmobile. It was a work in progress, and a slow one at that. And the first real snowbuggies were built on Model T Ford frames.
5: Television? Come on.
1884: Paul Gottlieb Nipkow, Germany.
1925-26: John Logie Baird, Scotland.
1926: Kálmán Tihanyi, Hungary.
1927: Léon Theremin, Russia.
And I could go on. I love Canada, I really do, but that stuff is just not true.
telephone was invented (most commonly accepted) by Alexander Graham Bell. Who was scottish. not canadian. Alexander Graham was canadian, who AGB and his father greatly admired.
Red Green is the awesometasticness.
Before I went to college, my family and I would tivo episodes and watch them over dinner together. Loved the possum lodge word game.
Ohhh Red Green.
No one around my neck of the woods has ever heard of the show.
There is a show about duct tape?
No, there is a show about a man who can do anything with ducktape. And much more…
It is the greatest show on the planet. He looks like my father, no lie.
Just remember, if the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
….except for Harold.
Oh, I dunno, I always thought he was adorable. Handy, though, no.
And keep your stick on the ice.
RED!
WIN!!
Damn, how I miss that show.
He looks a frightening amount like my father.
I think he is supposed to look a little bit like everyone’s Father.
I remember staying up until midnight with my Mother to watch this when I was a wee-youngin’. We even had their little motto-thing for their club memorized. If it was a club. I can’t really remember anymore….
Does it still come on, or did they take it off the air? I seriously feel like watching it now.
It’s on from time to time, I think on Sat nites. But no new episodes. They finished after 300.
“I’m a man… but I can change, if I have to… I guess”
That show is awesome. And I work for 3M – we make all the Duct Tape he uses
Do you guys have weekly company meetings where you all watch a few episodes of Red Green? That would be awesome.
No, we don’t but I should see if I can get that going! That would be a great way to spend an afternoon.
Quando omni flunkus moritati (loosely: If all else fails, play dead)
The PBS station in Seattle runs the show at 10 and 10:30, five nights a week, except when “Mystery!” runs long.
“Cuando omni flunkus, moritati”
IPTV in Iowa still plays it Saturday nights.
Red Green FTW!!!
I’m a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.
Yay for Canuck Celebs! Red Green is pretty much my dads role model. XD
Possum Lodge FTW!!
This is a perfect show for someone with a very short attention span. I laughed my butt off every time I saw it. Yay for (finally) a good Canadian show!
Remember, I’m pullin’ for ya. We’re all in this together.
Keep yer stick on the ice…
HELL YES RED GREEN IS MY BEST HERO!
Does anyone remember the movie? Duck Tape Forever?
That was the most awesome thing I have every seen ever!
That is an excellent caption! The handyman’s secret weapon.
Adventures with Bill ftw.
Oh and if the Duct Tape = Force joke shows up in these comments as if it were new or funny, someone is gonna get murdered.
hey…. did you know that duct tape is like the force? it’s got a light side and a dark side and it holds the universe together!
-
(i’m a whore. i couldn’t resist… proceed with murdering me now)
Any tool can be the right tool. And I loved “Duct Tape Forever”! Especially the extras and the behind-the-scenes stuff on the DVD. Harold is actually pretty hot when he’s not sticking his teeth out and acting like a dork.
Red Green is awesome. I wish they’d play it on my TV.
My favourite character was Edgar Montrose Explosives and Dremonlitions Expert played by the great Graham Greene. I Laughed whenever i saw him.
“Remember, if it ain’t broke, you’re not trying!”
“it’s all about parts per billion.”
For everything Red Green, see http://www.redgreen.com
There’s a link “Show Clips” on the main page that will take you to a site that has 160 video clips. They load and play quickly and are good quality.
WIN!
I guess Star Trek Saturday is DOA, huh?
This show is good clean fun.
When it’s Christmas, my family always sings, “Hark the Harold Angels Sing- Muwaaah!” (Muwaaah being Harold’s geeky noise.)
Red Green FTW
OMG! Red Green! Man.. I remember watching this with my grandparents.. they were hilarious!
I got to see a live taping of Red Green. I wore my flannel shirt and everything.
My dad has got almost every sesson on tape…I grew up watching Red and all the rest. My sister lives in Canada and sends my dad anything and everything red green she can get her hands on. Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati!
Omg, I LOVED this show! It was freakin hilarious! Too bad we never see it anymore..
Rothschild’s Sewage and Septic Sucking Services. =)
I loved this show so much!
#533: tape your hat together.
