  1. Cass Errol says:

    Spelling Fail. Menstrual. Really…

  2. NameAlreadyInUse says:

    Ain’t that the bloody truth…

  3. Dictatosaurusgmihairom says:

    Minstrel cycle?

    • what’s so funny about this anyway? what does it have to do with a mentrual cycle?

      • devin says:

if woman have extremely low body fat they stop getting their period because their body can’t support a child

        • hell hath no fury says:

I’m surprised how many people don’t know that.
….although that unitard wasn’t red when she bought it….sry I had to

          • Aoife says:

Reminds me of a former roommate who had to take to her bed during her menstrual cycle because she was so weak from extreme blood loss. Not sure how a well educated woman from a very large family could so utterly misunderstand the female reproductive system.

            • Xilef says:

wow I actually learned something on the internet while lolling..
The question is.. is the internet to be trusted hmmm..

            • iPlayFlonkerton says:

getting weak from heavy periods has nothing to do with misunderstanding the female reproductive system…. before going on the pill, i used to essentially hemorrhage during my period, and it made me extremely anemic. but i knew exactly what was going on. i was even the one who suggested that my gyno check me for fibroids. she doubted me… turns out i was right.

and i’ve completely understood the female reproductive system (and the male system, for that matter…) since i was about 11. i think i was the only one who paid attention during the “your changing body” seminar in 5th grade…

              • Aoife says:

It does if the woman in question is completely healthy, as was the woman in this case. She wasn’t hemorraging, she had completely normal periods. Rather, she came from a family that taught their girls that menstruation makes you sick and weak, women are frail and helpless, and they must do nothing during their “time”. Fibroids and other health issues are an entirely different matter.

              • OMG says:

Male reproductive system is pretty damn simple tbh :P if anything it gets annoying after a while. especially if you arn’t a hit with girls.. should cut the bloody thing off, then maybe i’ll get some peace.

If anything i’m more confused by girls, so i stick by my reasoning that you have to live your life as one to understand one.

            • wickedwitch says:

What does education have to do with blood loss? I lost an incredible amount of blood when I had an IUD. I was extremely anemic, educational level be damned.

        • Trainwreck Chaser says:

That’s what I thought it was referencing to. Thanks for confirming.

        • yes, thank you, i knew that; but she really isn’t all that thin… just naturally athletic looking.

      • Ham says:

Professional female gymnasts work very hard and partly it’s to retard growth because unlike male gymnastics, female gymnastics aren’t nearly as much about strength, so upon developing an actual adult body, they’re over the hill. Which is why they wreak such havoc on their bodies trying to keep small, so much so that often they stop menstruating normally. And which is why China uses 13 year olds they claim are 16.

      • marielleee says:

gymnasts dont get it as soon as anyone else

  4. phil says:

i’m not a big fan of this one…

  5. Kezzi says:

    Rofl…spelling and punctuation fail! c:

    But quite funny anyway.

  6. green_beanie says:

I could do without a menstrual cycle. Period. I’ll leave it to you to decide whether the pun was intended or not.

    • Wylizzle says:

Go on the pill I’m on. It comes in a yellow blister pack and its called Cerazette. At least that’s what is called over here, don’t know what it’s called overseas. Its a little more expensive though. Stops you bleeding.

  7. Green is Good says:

Should have went with a Peter Pan joke. Or use spell check.

    • Rae says:

      Grammar check.
      Should have gone.

    • tree979 says:

Don’t tell me! You’re American right? Possibly pronounced A-Merkin?

A Peter Pan joke would be facile and totally lacking in social commentary on how elite athletes sometimes sacrifice their health and fertility in the pursuit of an unattainable, super-human, athletic ideal.

And why should I spell check a lol?

Getting the point FAIL FAIL FAIL!

  8. Heather says:

I’m pretty sure it’s Cathy Rigby. She did Stayfree ads back in the ’80s (I think.. maybe it was earlier). Now get off my lawn. :P

  9. iPlayFlonkerton says:

the fact that they spelled “menstrual” wrong makes it un-funny. *headdesk*

and anyone else notice that in the “add comment” section, it says “URI” instead of “URL”?

  10. iPlayFlonkerton says:

the upside….. you can re-caption the picture!

  11. LouZha says:

    ALRIGHT!…Thats enuff menstrual talk….PERIOD!

  12. Cat says:

Come on people, if you’re going to spell every other word correctly, then just go for them all. It’s menstrual.

  13. harpdevil says:

I want to rate this TEN rainbow unicorns!

  14. Rosie says:

Was this done by a guy? Because most women I know would GO OUT OF THEIR WAY to avoid having their period.

  15. tree979 says:

Grammar and punctuation of lols scrutinised? Who knew?
BTW I am a girl with an English degree.
I kan spel wehn i wanna but i donts wanna :P

  16. Thoushaltnot says:

The girl in the foreground is Britt Green.

  17. DGryph says:

adding “when you can FLY” was not really necessary. ktnx.

    • tree979 says:

“when you can fly” is a pun on cycle, as in who needs a (bi)cycle when you can fly as your preferred method of transport.

  18. Lucas says:

Typos always occur in Graphic Design, you end up paying more attention to the images.

  19. I got the Curse of Curves says:

I could do without periods. WITHOUT getting pregnant thank you very much. 8O ….. PMS stands for PERIOD MADNESS SYNDROME!!! oh btw, my moms car license plate was 247 PMS. 24/7 PMS. ahahahahah!!! seriously not customized.

  27. Thanks for this great post Im pretty sure that many people are searching informative post like yours .

  28. Artemis_Statham says:

    Is that Shawn Johnson???

  29. K. says:

She doesn’t even look thin enough to lose her cycle though…so this really isn’t funny.

Gymnasts aren’t the ones who lose their periods (look at Shawn Johnson, she’s very fit, definitely not too thin) — ballerinas are. Or at least some of them.

  30. katy says:

I believe it is Shawn Johnson. Not that other chick people mentioned before.

  31. llc says:

how awful, gymnasts can be true artists.

  32. 0_o says:
