Oh, I never noticed that Cedric and Edward were played by the same person. I only recently discovered this by searching it. I was kind of afraid to do that as I am in the front row of computers, and it would hurt my pride to be searching something seemingly Twilight-related on my screen for everyone to see.

Probably for the same reason that there’s a new, untalented, but oh-so-cute boy band every six months. Fads sell. They generally sell to kids. Kids with parents who don’t love them enough to monitor the content of the crap they are reading and watching, and just purchase whatever their tot is pointing at and screaming “buy me that, buy me that, buy me that!!!” Just a guess though.

I love how all the younger posters here who are bashing twilight feel the need to establish some respect. (I’m an honors student, I read higher level books, etc.) Twilight has captivated an audience, and no matter your intelligence or point of view, it has become a literary staple in younger culture. I honestly don’t like it much either, but there’s no reason to lay a discriminitory blanket over all of the fans.

Actually, there is a werewolf, but he dies in the end(he was actually one of my favorite characters, and not because he was a werewolf)…
Also, since when does vampires and werewolves make a good story? I don’t think many of Shakespeare’s writings had either(correct me if I’m wrong).
Love is one of the main parts of the story…so how can there be none?
Last time I looked in a dictionary(I own two and the internet happens to have many of them), “Maygk” was spelled Magic. Please do not butcher English.

I am twelve and I hate Twilight. Please don’t group all twelve year olds in together. While most girls at my school are in love with Taylor Swift, Hannah Montana, Twilight, and the Jonas Brohers, I am in love with Disturbed, Harry Potter, and Avenged Sevenfold. Although I do think Taylor Lautner is hot, he picked a horrible movie to star in. We are all different and we are not all obsessed with stuff like that.

And don’t call people “effin gits” either. That has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life. Besides Twilight. I didn’t even read the whole series, just the first book. I have no patience for poor literature and, Pdragongirlj, I agree. Why can’t people on the internet just… not be idiots?

P.S. I happen to be twelve. I can’t stand twilight. And I have to put up with squealing twilight fans all day long. So, just remember, not all twelve year olds are completely annoying fangirls who fantasize over sparkling vampires. I’m sick of it. I wish everyone would just realize that twilight is a literary failure. So, while they’re frying their brains over ridiculous fantasies of glittering morons, I am reading “1984″. I like it, so far.

read all the twatlight books–online–in about 2 days. Never saw the movie(s) and wont. Books were poorly written and badly thought out.
How is falling in pubescent love with a supernatural (weakly so) stalker a love story, never mind even a GOOD story?
The books have their place in pulp fiction, the raging fandom is inexplicable except for maybe that kids today will fall for anything the media tells them is “hot” and “the newest, bestest thing”

Enjoy it if you can, but I pray that you read more, increasingly better books over your lifetime

How is Twilight “grown up”? Both Harry Potter and Twilight were written for the Teen/Young Adult genre. Harry Potter just happened to rise above and become accessible to Adults as well.

I know that there are “Twilight Moms” out there who are obviously in love with the series… I have some questions for you ladies:

What is wrong with your marriage? What happened to you during your relationship that you decided to fawn over sparkly high school vampires? Did your husband cheat on you? Did they find someone less crazy? I would hope so. I pity them really.

Wake up and smell the present ladies. You’re obviously not in your 20s anymore. Your skin is wrinkling, your boobs are sagging, Aunt Flo is close to extinction; snap out of it and join the real world. Then maybe your failing marriage will fix itself…. maybe.

Twilight has been and will always be for the under-aged.
