Actually, the caption is incorrect (although I get the joke). George’s marriage was legal when it occurred…and the passage of Prop 8 did NOT affect it….he’s still legally married.
Also…his guard position sucks….not protecting his 6 at all (and it looks like his foil’s bent….I see a nice and illegal S curve there.) And no one holds their off hand up that high today except maybe classical fencers…but in the 60s the probably did.
Actually George’s marriage is still legal….it happened during the time it WAS legal, and the passage of Prop 8 did NOT affect the legality of those marriages.
