It’s more of a perspective on attitude…the goth culture is a more “take charge”, while the emo is more “I’m just going to sit here, not do anything and complain about it”
I’d say punks are more about taking charge, if anything goths you meet in clubs are trying to seem more apathetic than each other XD

One reason I never saw the movie–seemed emo, which is a shame, as the original stage play isn’t emo at all. Todd was a barrel-chested, homicidal, bellowing force of nature. He was never supposed to be twee or fey.

I use emo only on those who I feel are not truly disturbed. I have seen people dress in all black and be called emo when the are perfectly happy. It has gone from people who cut and cry to the way they dress. Alot of people now just think of it as a style rather than a way of thinking.
