Not funny.
I thought it was funny.
I’ll take one!!!
*om nom nom*
Are they like Kebabs?
“Kebob” is the more Americanized spelling, whereas “kebab” is used in Britain. Another notable difference is that they tend to be served on their skewering-stick in America, whereas in Britain (especially if you go to a little kebab shop) you tend to get your meal sans stick.
therefore it’s just another thing America have got wrong
Guess you’d be great friends with my dad! He thinks everything America does is somehow wrong.
As a Brit, I must point out that I have never had a kebab without a skewer. Maybe it’s just the kebab places I’ve been to that sell them with skewers? Coincidence, perhaps?
It tends to depend on exactly which sort of kebab you order if you’re eating in; take-aways tend to cook on skewers or a spit, and deskewer (or carve) before putting the meat in the pitta.
They’re the same thing. “Kabob” is how Americans spell and pronounce it, but “kebab” is how every other English-speaking nationality spells and pronounces it.
Kebab (also transliterated as kebap, kabab, kabob, kibob, kebhav, kephav) refers to a variety of meat dishes in Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, African, Central Asian, and South Asian cuisines, consisting of grilled or broiled meats on a skewer or stick. The most common kebabs include lamb and beef, although others use goat, chicken, fish, or shellfish. Observant Muslims and Jews do not use pork for kebabs because of religious and cultural prohibition, but pork kebabs can be found in Greece and India, especially in the state of Goa. Like other ethnic foods brought by immigrants and travelers, the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in multicultural countries such as the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Arabic, like Hebrew, Aramaic, and most other Semitic languages is written without vowels. Vowel sounds are indicated by diacritical marks—dots and squiggles above and below the letters, which indicate consonants–which are sometimes left out. Hence, in transcribing Semitic words into European languages that DO use vowels, different transcribers may transcribe them differently.
I dunno–I hear adamantium gives the kebab a funny flavor…
Yeah, i wouldn’t quite describe it as tin like, but something similar.
If Hugh Jackman’s offering his kebobs, I’m there!
Aaaaaaamen. So hot.
Me too…I’m sooooo there!
=P
Sheesh! Kabobs!
They are pieces of animal flesh you put thru a skewer with veggies.
So kabob is sort of like kebab?
Yup
No, kabob is the stupid American way of writing kebab, because ethnic food doesn’t deserve to be spelled correctly under new anti-terror laws.
If you want to get technical then it’s really called shish-kebab.
well, that was awfully polite O.o
ShishKebab is on a stick…
Kebab is off of the stick.
Ever made a beaver shishkebab? My girlfriend brings the beaver and I provide the stick.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
That’s Hilarious. Funniest thing I’ve ever since ever in the history of the world ever.
Id eat his kebob/bab any day of the week!
ShishKebab? Sounds good to me! I likes mine with grape leaves, Feta, Tomato, Mushrooms and Goat Meat!
YAHOOOO!!!!!!!
Very funny
It’s kebab you twats get it right
lolzor at american spellings out of desperation to be different hahaaa.. oops better not laugh too loudly- i might disturb my neighboUr. its not funny when she gets angry because she goes a funny coloUr. heheh you should see her eat a doUGHnut – made of doUGH- when she’s angry. its lol chaps. lol.
A FYI..We spell it dough over here..So you fail in that respect
Let me get this straight … you corrected their spelling by spelling it exactly the same way? o.O
Correction fail
Um. No. You are the bigger fail.
Miggz was making a shot at how Americans often spell things differently, like “colOr”, and “neighbor”. But we spell dough the same way others spell it. So Miggz fails in putting that in. Correcting correction=fail.
no hard feelings.
EATCHA WORDS.
huh? whats that ? car-bombs ? stupid us fatbraned captioners ;/ fail
As long as I’m not some of the meat in the kebab, I’ll take one.
Also, I’m a vegetarian, so if you could give me one without your enemies on it, I’ll pay you extra.
And I’ll give you an extra five bucks if you spell kebab correctly.
I’d take his kabab anytime ;D
