Yes, he died during the filming of this movie (Poltergeist II) at the age of 60, as did Will Sampson, who played the Shaman at age 54. Dominique Dunne died in between Poltergeist I and II at age 22, and Heather O’Rourke died during the filming of Poltergeist III at age 12.
