Completely disagree, ma’am. During WWII, she was a dancer. She hid notes to/for the allies in her ballet slippers to sneak them past checkpoints. I think she’s actually underrated.

I like that these pictures are always about how women used to be classy, and never about the men. But if trashy wasn’t popular, it wouldn’t sell, and yet clearly it does. So really, if you wanted classy, really wanted it, it would still be as prominent as it was in the black and white era.

She couldn’t really help it that much…

When she was a child during the war she suffered from malnutrition and sometimes just had TULIPS to eat, not to mention her upper body was thinner than average so she appeared to be far skinnier.

She was really known for not being wasteful and being very thankful… she didn’t believe in taking more than you need and wasting things when children in other countries were starving.

Hence her charity work.. which was mainly focused on kids.

She was sweet and lovely and classy. We still have women like that, but they’re well, they’re as rare as they were back then, actually.

The thing is, these stars were only ever captured in gorgeous black-and-white, soft-focus stills in their professional life. Today’s stars get paparazzi up-skirts and “no makeup!” special features when they go out to buy tampons. It’s not easy being classy under these circumstances.

every one told my grandmother that she looked exactly like Audry hepbern. i always thought “thats nice” but then i saw a photo of her in her 20′s, and she COMPLETELY DID~!!! it was amazing ~
Charade is one of my favorite movies of all time~ i think cary grant is in that one as well~
