Lol, she’s been in over 60 movies and TV shows including Star Wars Episode 3, Lost, The Crow… Just because she’s not a target of the paparazzi doesn’t mean she’s a nobody. I would never have been able to tell you her name from her picture, but I knew who she was and at least a few movies she’d been in right away. She’s not a superstar, but she’s been in a hell of a lot more than anyone commenting here…

I don’t disagree there. Also, she’s not a native English speaker which may impact that as well. People like Chow Yun Fat, Jet Li, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh are all big stars but don’t get targeted by the paparazzi. Some of that could be due to cultural and language differences.

I’ve heard she’s quite a scandal queen, but she happens to be in an amazingly awesome movie (Saam gaang yi: Gaau Ji + Gaau Ji the long version) and I’ll always admire her for that at least
Bai Ling (or Ling Bai, as she seems to be going by these days) has been in lots of movies, just never very many good or well-known ones (although I guess Star Wars ep III would have to be an exception–I forgot she was in that). I kinda liked “The Breed”, a vampire movie from 2001. But her portrayals are all the same, it seems: the very ODD Asian femme fatale sidekick (see “The Crow”, “Southland Tales”, and I’m guessing “Miss East” in “Wild Wild West” was more of the same). And the thing is, she seems to enjoy the role and play it in RL. But where I am really sad for her is her ridiculous–desire? compulsion?–to constantly show her nipples. She never even acted like it was a “nipple slip” . . . or maybe she’s not doing that anymore–I hope? I mean, she has her OWN page dedicated on gofugyourself.com See *LINK*.
