FIRST!
[saw the no comments - could not resist. jep, that retarded.]
Hahaha, in context the caption’s even a little funnier (in a wee, tiny, pretty much needless to mention way)…that woman in that episode has god-like powers.
Did I really just make that reply?
Yep, you did
Not only that, but the character was a psychologist.
Excellent !
Sometimes a phaser rifle is just a phaser rifle.
That is a decent ray gun.
Oh hell no! She isn’t questioning the good Captain’s virility?! She’s gonna “get it” soon enough.
Um, honey, you might not wanna say that when the gun’s pointed towards your general area.
Given that the ol’ Cap’ lays just about every humanoid-ish female guest star in the series, maybe he really is overcompensating. As long as all the fun bits are roughly in the right place, it’s a legal pursuit.
Though the whole “overcompensating” joke is pretty lame, it seems like it’s used out of envy, meaning that no one is allowed to own anything that’s interesting. The reverse obviously isn’t used, I mean, no one says of the man that owns a Taurus or Yugo and say, “he must have a huge one”. I don’t think anyone that drives his girlfriends pink car as someone that’s comfortable with his masculinity, he’s just seen as flaming gay.
*applauds your comment*
I hope it’s not too lame to post a comment on my own lol. I agree with the whole “overcompensating” joke being lame, too. I am pretty dang perplexed that this lol made it to the main page. It’s not one of my more clever ones, really. I guess the only reason it made it up here is b/c the people who voted on it are lame enough to think it was funny. Shrug.
No, I’m here just to kill, I mean, say hello to an old friend.
how filthy, what a filthy mind…
I wonder why Sally Kellerman’s name isn’t next to Shatner’s. She and Gary Lockwood were two of the best names they had on Star Trek. For those not in the know, she went on to play Hot Lips in the movie
MASH and Gary played Frank Poole in 2001.
