  1. Sproggie says:

Meh. Lots better ones in upcoming.

  2. KaylaKaze says:

Actually, IIRC they used the verb “MacGyver” in SG-1 before.

    • argentlupus says:

you are right. in fact i think it was Richard Dean NAderson who said it.

      • Lynx says:

I don’t know if her ever says it, but Tapping says it in I think the first episode.

        • Lynx says:

          lol, he not her

        • CSM101 says:

carter says “It took us x number of years to Macguver a way to power the gate”, in the first episode

          • bubba says:

Yup it was Carter in the first episode (which can be seen on hulu.com for US people)

Also in a outtake of the episode where they are stuck in Antarica with the 2nd gate, Amanda Tapping (Carter) goes off on this whole rant about how RDA (O’niell) is Macgyver and he should solve the problem.

          • KitsuneSokudo says:

She put that in when the was reading to get the part and that’s what helped her get it. They liked it so much they put it in the episode.

          • SG-1Freek says:

“It took us 15 years and three supercomputers to MacGyver a system
            for the Gate on Earth.”

Yes, I know, I’ve seen the Pilot WAAAAAAAAAAAY too many times! LOL

            SG-1Freek (aka Tiffany)

  3. Smalls says:

I loved the outtake from the first “second gate” episode–Amanda Tapping screams out “I’m trapped on a glacier with MacGuyver!” And the whole crew busts up.

  4. mamarosa says:

    MacGruber!!!!!!!!

  5. LEILA says:

I really like his character on SG1. I have no idea what he was like as MacGuyver dude but I do enjoy the MacGruber skits on SNL. LOL!

    • Becki says:

MacGyver and Jack O’Neill are pretty much polar opposites of each other. I think the only thing they had in common was the fact that both characters had trouble admitting how they felt about the women in their lives.

      • LEILA says:

Do you think that O’Neill and Carter will ever get together? Maybe they have and I missed an episode.

        • AmyCat says:

          Bleah… Even here, we get Sam&Jack ‘shippy-crap?
The stupid, shallow, and unprofessional unresolved “relationship” was one of the worst things the writers put into the show. Shame on them for trying to reduce a strong female character to just “the hero’s girlfriend”.

  6. fish eye no miko says:

    Word placement win!

  7. deadinfrance says:

    I use to love MacGuyer-I am such a geek…

  8. beah says:

Episode 200! love walter finally going off-world

  9. 2wellread says:

Richard Dean Anderson, still SMOKIN’ HOT after all these years!!! :P

  10. TiannaBanana says:

I read somewhere that there was to be a new big-screen “Macgyver” movie to be filmed. I really hope RDA reprises his role!

    • AmyCat says:

I’m afraid they’ll make it a stupid parody of the original series, the way they did with the “Starsky & Hutch” movie awhile back. They’ll probably get some twit like Will Farrell to play the lead. :-P

  11. Bethany says:

This is win, and SG-1 was an epic win as well. Somehow, I just don’t like Atlantis nearly as much…

  12. Sidahan says:

RDA is one of the best actors in the whole tv-series business. He plays his role almost with compassion^^ Or maybe its just because i love the character Jack O’Neill this much – his sarcasm is the best!

  13. heather says:

‘The hell is this ‘MacGuyver’ guy? Is he the new guy from accounting?’
