Not in general, BUT — if there was a small, separate corner in a large Starbucks with a big Barnes and Nobles sign, shelves of books, and an entirely separate cash register manned by somebody wearing a Barnes and Nobles employee ID? Then, yes, I might very well expect to be able to use a B&N gift card there.
