I don’t mind an odd musical, but I rarely buy them, because I’m not that into the sorts of music that most of the well-known ones have in them. I’m more interested in seeing how music more or less contemporary to a film is used to enhance the mood of a scene, run an in-joke etc.
This makes Call_Me_K an idiot.

All due respect “Call_Me_K,” I get paid to play the bassoon in a pit orchestra for dozens of musicals every year, I enjoy it very much, I’m a guy, and I’m as straight as you can be. Just because you don’t like musicals doesn’t give you the right to call anyone who does a girl or gay. And what the hell constitutes “Extended Research?” You sound more like a biggoted, homophob a$$hole to me instead of “close-minded and dumb.”

I actually LOVED Chicago, and will probably buy it should it ever be in my head while out shopping.

I am a straight male and I dig musicals. My brother is also a straight male and he digs musicals. He and his buddy, while in Afghanistan, would sing J.C. Superstar songs together often as it would brighten their mood. All three of us are prior Army, manly, straight men who dig musicals. Please include this in your research.

I have seen it. I have also seen West Side Story, South Pacific, Oklahoma,
Mama Mia ands several others. I have, through extended research, concluded that guys do not like musicals, with the exception of my gay friends who
