I’m not a big fan of slapstick in general, but I still totally agree with this!

Concurrence – I don’t mind raunchy humor and I still think Ferrell depends too much on vulgarity to counter his lack of talent.

What’s disappointing is that Will Ferrell is actually a very talented actor. Stranger than Fiction is one of my favorite movies. It’s a shame he wastes his talent.
I actually dislike talented actors who won’t use their talent MORE than untalented actors. In the former case, it just feels like they’re holding out on us.

The only good things Ferrel’s been in are The Producers and The Oblongs cartoon. He’s got some talent but the kind of roles he takes don’t call for talent. And wow he’s actually a pretty good singer too.

It’s strange. After watching Airplane, if you told me one actor would go on and make comedy shows and movies based on his character, I would have guessed Lloyd Bridges. (Leslie Nielson would have been my second guess.)

Really, Everybody? Really? As If It Were Impossible In This Society We Live In This Day To Like MORE Than One Actor. Weird. Personally I Like Will Ferrel And Leslie Neilson Both, But I Guess That Is Not Accepted In This Crazy Little World. Stop Flaming Actors Just Because You Don’t Think They Have More Talent Than Another, It’s Not A Competition.
I like more than one slapstick actor. Lloyd Bridges, John Ritter, Jerry Lewis, Jeffery Jones, Charlie Chaplin, The Stooges, Marx Brothers, et cetera. Just because I like one, doesn’t mean I have to like or appreciate all. Will Ferrel isn’t in the same league as the others. There’s a HUGE EFFING difference between Slapstick and Please Laugh At Me Because I’m An A**hole/Idotic Spaz. Ferrel is in the latter. See, I’m annoyed with Will Ferrell because I have liked him in more than one film. The Producers – he was excellent! He was good in Superstar, I LOVED him as Mugatu in Zoolander (which was okay for something of its genre), and he was a brilliant Mustafa in Austin Powers. I didn’t see Stranger Than Fiction but I’ve been told I should.
I just want to see him stop wasting his talent.
Leslie’s good, but when it comes to slapstick, Peter Sellers was money.
