It’s a pity to not know the awesome songs of previous decades, but it seems that the kids are expected to youtube and get to know them all, which seems a little unfair.
.
I went through school knowing hardly any Beatles songs beyond the titles. My parents didn’t have any of their records and even if they did, they don’t put music on and just listen to it. Talking to my mum a couple of years ago, I found out that they used to have plenty of Beatles records, including some early and rare stuff, but it all got stolen.
