  1. Squiggly says:

I need to see that movie again. I miss the awesomeness.

  2. Marrock says:

You know… I happen to now where there’s a DeLorean sitting in a garage with about three miles on the odometer.

    • Marrock says:

And I know it too… damn typos.

    • Th-Rob says:

You know, you can still buy a BRAND NEW DeLorean? Someone bought out their entire supply of parts in the mid-90′s when they went into bankruptcy and is still building them to order.

      • barboid says:

I knew that (but only recently). Such a cool car. I wish that it came in colors (I’m particularly fond of ‘robin egg’ blue, although that might not look very good in a DeLorean body style)

    • Sarah says:

Oh man…I saw one the other day…I texted about 5 people….yes, while driving. I’m a horrible person!

  3. dolt says:

    a significant improvement over 1984

  4. Meh says:

How true and sad that is.
Why is it that it’s creepy/wrong for that to happen now?

    • Mossad says:

      Michael Jackson

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Because the world has become a worse and more paranoid place. I miss the level of innocence in that day.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a nicer time, it just was a simpler time with its dirty laundry better hidden.

      • Ev says:

OR … we worry about things because they’re publicized, not because they’re likely. Example: Number of child-off-the-street abductions (you know, the ones that make the news) annually in the US: about 40-ish, mebbe little more. So, very very small chance your child will be taken by a stranger. Chance you will die as a passenger in a car: 1 in 200-something (lifetime chance). So basically, it’s much safer to have your child walk to school than to drive him there.

We fear the wrong things. Anyway, it’s a shame that the actions of a relative few condemn men who are interested in children as always being suspected of having ulterior motives.

        • Ev says:

Shoulda said “AND …”, not “OR …”

        • Meh says:

          I totally agree there.
And we are just forcing our children to miss out and not be able to benefit from the knowledge and experience of the majority of the men interested in helping them.

          • DeathWyrmNexus says:

I certainly know that I have a niggling fear of talking to anybody under a certain age range that I am not related to because I don’t want cops kicking down my door.

A decent number of us guys just wanna talk and hang out. When I was a lad, my friend and I would hang out at his neighbor’s house and work out. We talked, looked at football cards, and left when we had to go or his girlfriend showed.

Nothing ever happened and he was a great guy.

  5. HellHathNoFury says:

Unless they were Catholic, which we’re finding out about recently…
    *waits for angry mob*
*hires DeathWyrmNexus to pass out pitchforks and torches*

  6. tubby says:

Yeah, except this screenshot is from the sequel, set in 2015. FAIL

How am I the first one to notice this?

    • Meh says:

So in a few years it will be ok again?
And where is my flying car and hover board?

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

But they are referencing when the first movie was made, which was 1985. The second movie was made in 1989.

So yes, they had a time fail. You however, mistake the setting for the time where the character is actually from, which is 1985.

So, you’re an idiot. Marty McFly was from 1985 and so was his friend thus the lol makes perfect sense. Character knowledge fail…

      Any questions?

Disclaimer: I looked up the movie dates just now on imdb.com before I posted as can any of you.

      • Meh says:

And, they have a time machine, so for them time is irrelevant.

      • crxmanpat says:

Gotta go with tubby on this one. The setting of this specific screenshot is indeed 2015. Marty and Doc have just arrived in the year 2015, and Doc is spying on Marty Jr while he explains the details of what is about to transpire to Marty Sr. Marty Sr then takes Marty Jr’s place in the Cafe 80′s scene and stands up to Griff.

“Welcome to Cafe 80′s, where it’s always morning in America. Even in the a-a-a-afternoon!” :-D

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Ah but Marty is hanging out with Doc and both of them are from… 1985. Where/when they are hanging out at the time is irrelevant as their mindset is still from 1985.

Least that is how my brain got it. I was thinking their cultural timeframe than their temporary temporal location, if that makes sense.

  7. CapriceClassic says:

Sorry. That happened in the 70′s too, lol

  8. grapejuice says:

    love this movie <3

  9. Litte Moeffel says:

woow….. I really miss that quirkyness… In our world today… And the tolerance — and — allowance — of these kinds of inter-relations between us … Exactly without the lifted eyebrows… or the *why on EARTH*….. Love this trilogy …..

  10. Alicia says:

I remember having friends older than me when I was a kid and didn’t think anything of it. You have to love oversensitivity in America today. Or the world at large. Chances are few and far between and yet here we are, constantly with our ears pricked. That being said, if I had a kid I could kill whoever touched them.

  11. Jebus22 says:

Ahhh the year I was born, The time films were actually awesome and had ORIGINAL story lines. Also the time when actors and actresses could actually act.

  12. Litte Moeffel says:

You said it, Jebus22…. Actually act…. and if we go even further back – in time ( or is it *forward* ;) ) – they could also — now hold your horses — SING …. (!!!!!) ….. and DANCE…. ;)

  13. Little Moeffel says:

    (little…. little…)

  14. djl2083 says:

Yes thanks Tubby, as a huge fan of these films I was well aware that this was a shot taken from the second film when they’re in 2015. DeathWyrmNexus hit the nail on the head though, I was referencing the fact that both of them were originally from 1985 in the film. I watched these films the other day and it hit me that now days, the cops, parents etc would have been all over Doc’s ass. I mean, it’s apparent the principal Mr. Strickland (spelling?) is well aware Marty often hangs out with Doc in the film and you’d just know that in 2009 if anyone’s principal got a hold of that info there would be a pretty quick stop to that. Love these movies though, just too awesome.

  15. Cropdusta says:

This picture is from 2015, not 1985. Duh.
