omg I read the novel and it was like whoa!
One of the very few times were I enjoy both the book AND the movie.
I’d say the GN is even better than the movie.
I liked the movie better. I thought the ending was more powerful. Of course they’re pretty different. Both are amazing though.
The Graphic novel is probably one of the best chunks of american comic books. EVER. GN V FTW
It wasn’t an American comic. It was a British comic, set in the UK, written by an Englishman.
And my copy is even by a British publisher.

I enjoyed them both, for different reasons. The GN was more involved and complex, but I didn’t agree with Alan Moore’s ideas about societal anarchy. I also preferred the movie’s treatment of Evie. (the little nods to Benny Hill were a good touch as well.) And Hugo Weaving is definitely badass; it’s really difficult to act through an expressionless mask.
I read the GN, but I never saw the movie. Would you recommend it to someone who’s a little to fussy about sticking to the original work?
Oh yeah! Not the best movie in the world, but quite enjoyable. And manages to do justice to the GN in my view. (Which is a lot better then some have done)
Seconded. I’d say the worst bit was the “V monologue” to Evie, where the Washawskis prove that they’re actually no more clever than Alan Moore.

I feel like a character who prides himself so greatly on his vocabulary would be completely ashamed of the word “BADASSERY” being used to describe him.
