It looks like it may be from Kull The Conqueror, which was a movie he did in between the Hercules and Andromeda shows. Good movie, by the way!

You call yourself a nerd? I’m a proper nerd. I don’t think, I know that this is actually the Sovereign, which lived in an alternate reality and was like an evil Hercules twin.

(Of course both were played by Kevin Sorbo.)

Most of the main Hercules characters had counterparts in the alternative universe, which were different from the main characters.

I'm going to be a total nerd and say that I think there was a plotline where either he was evil or he had an evil twin/clone/whatever. I'm not real clear. However, everyone knows if you're evil you get a wardrobe change to reflect that.

I’d say that actually predates Hercules, too. I remember an old B movie where he was either a king or a villain that was before Hercules.

He’s not as built in the arms as he was when he played Hercules…or as they post production-ed him to look like, maybe?
