See, that was my thought. At least the British stereotype isn’t some redneck dunderhead. It could be a lot worse! True stereotyping in general is not a good practice, but there are some that it wouldn’t be too bad to fit into.

Far be it for me to object, sir, but one cannot in truth be both a cad and a bounder. To be one precludes the possibility of being the other. Me (pausing to account for a sudden gust of wind): “hold”
The Wife: breathes, otherwise silent/motionless
Me: “fire”
The Wife” pulls trigger – bang ……. ting!
Me (calling out the dead center splat that just appeared on the tiny target 3000 feet away): “hit”
The Wife: “of course”

Note the compete absence of YEEEHAWWWWs and/or slaughtered pdawgs.
