Madonna does not look better than most 20 year olds, she’s skinny and bony, and everything she wears flaunts her bingo wings and horrible crotch. My mum is the same age as Madonna and she is ashamed of her, as most other 50-odd year olds probably will be. She’s just showing herself up now.

sigh, it wasn’t a vehement anger-filled response or even directed at you. It was just a general observation of reactions that I have seen. Example:

Hugh Heffner (he is what? Nearing 100 by now?), surrounded by girls 1/3-1/4 (1/5??) his age fawning all over him and there isn’t a guy out there who wouldn’t kill to be him. Women are less forgiving about it, shake their heads, but they are his ‘Bunnies’ and it is expected- obviously they are being paid to hang out with him and they appear in those magazines, so … yeah, their morals must be shot anyway and adult diaper jokes follow…

But a 50 year old woman singing and dancing (her purview) in a concert with a full grown man (another dancing/singing professional) who is actually more than half her age (and certainly *not* a child- definitely older than the girls hanging around ol’ Heff) it is ‘disgusting’ and tut tut ‘what are we going to do with you Madonna?’ and pedophilia is suggested.

I just see a double standard (full-blown/all-out prudes excluded, of course $:) ).

I will be the first to admit that the picture isn’t the most flattering, but hey, it was in the choreography- and she is Madonna, she changes her hair style, her clothing style, and religions but one thing she is and always will be is a professional entertainer, and her shtick is overt sexuality, and as long as she still has the bod to rock those outfits…

I see two professionals doing their ‘thing’. Nothing more.
