I never really understood the popularity of Happy Days. I liked The Fonz but most of the rest of the school to college age characters were nauseating.

And I am the age of those who watched it in its original run although I was a kid, I’m now 43.

It’s funny how things stick in your mind. Henry Winkler will always be remembered as The Fonz but I thoroughly enjoyed Night Shift, his role in Waterboy and a few other minor things He was brilliant in a guest role as a sociopath on Law & Order a while back, but now every time I hear his name all I can think of is the scene from Adam Sandler’s Little Nicky. “Here’s Henry Winkler, covered in bees”.

I saw a quick interview with Henry a few weeks ago while he was fueling his car. (ambush interview lol) I learned that he does NOT know how to ride a motorcycle. It was devastating news and I’ll be affected for life. -sigh-

actually, using IP addresses that log into the site to find out the spread of users over countries they log into from you can then cross reference the average age of those countries (from government statistical data) with the average age of an internet user within those countries (once again, most governments have statistical data on this) and then weight your numbers by the spread found out earlier. the process would be a giant and complicated undertaking, but you DO have a way of knowing

I remember the cloth jacket – early first season. The Fonz garbed in leather is when the show actually jumped the shark. Henry Winkler is an all around good guy and a fine actor, but I like my televised thugs to be just a little more thuggish than the Fonz was.

Fonz, after he got the leather jacket (who remembers the cloth one from first season?), was a powerful influence for good — kept the rest of the gang in line, was a father figure to his cousin Chachi, got his diploma, became a shop teacher, loving husband, and was always there to help out when needed. Sounds like a positive role model to me. And Henry Winkler — totally cool dude in every way — look up the story (I’m sure it’s on the net) about his encounter with the little girl with autism. And have a kleenex handy …
