Say what you will about the Beatles or anyone else, but their impact on people of a certain age- and beyond-has resulted in thousands of people learning the joy of playing a musical instrument as well as listening to music of all styles. They opened a lot of ears to everything from polkas to swing to classics. Personally, I shall always revere Ringo for sparking my latent sense of rhythm in 1964, prompting me to play drums for lo, these many moons. If you limit your musical experience to the current “flavor” you’re missing quite a lot.

I agree; I have never liked the beatles, and sincerely believe that the “huge influence” that they supposedly had/have r/t music is extremely over-rated. Sorry, haters have fun! And even though she is as mad as a hatter, I think that it’s pretty funny that she got the better of him-what an idiot; marrying quickly with no pre-nup (one on a napkin does not count) and less than six months (?) after his “soul mate” passed away. What a tool; an arrogant tool at that.
