    Scientology+Battlefield Earth…Travolta takes the prize!

  2. Op says:

I thought I’ve seen all the Travolta movies (my brother is obsessed) but I’ve never seen that one-which is it?

  3. David says:

    Face-off.

  4. OtherBill says:

Yeah, Travolta’s clearly winning this race.

  5. coyote1284 says:

The question is, “Who’s challenging who there?”

  6. Annie Crimefighter says:

National Treasure is one of my favorite movies in the whole world. I have seen it so many times that if I see it on USA one more time, I may die. That’s how much I love it. Does that make me a bad person?

  7. potpiekitty says:

Face off was way better than Broken Arrow imho.. dumb dumb dumb movie, that.
Religion aside, I’ve always liked Travolta much better than Cage, think he’s a better actor plus seems to be a genuinely nice guy =)

    • Steffi says:

Travolta is. :-) Before I ran away to college I lived in the same area he moved to. Once the “OMG IT’S JOHN TRAVOLTA!!!eleven” fuss died away, it was all cool. He’s very nice.

    • Robin Williams says:

Travolta is a cool dude. It’s really too bad about the Scienlology thing.

And I kind of like Broken Arrow in a cinema terriblé sort of way. It’s so dumb I can enjoy it for the lulz.

  8. uber says:

    lets go to the tapes

    travolta

adding it all up travolta wins because the nick cage ads are win

  9. Bahl T'san Chin says:

The caption makes no sense — they are both A-List actors.

  10. Annie Crimefighter says:

So, on a completely unrelated note, I’m pretty sure Good Cholesterols and Saveable House/Housing Availability are the same person, considering how they always comment within minutes of each other and both fail at English…

  11. Tioka12 says:

John Travolta was awesome in the remake of The Taking Of Pelham 123, and i’m not a huge fan of remakes, but it was a great film with some excellent reviews. :D

  12. carlosfer2201 says:

    2 words: The Weatherman
    And we have a winner!

  13. silarius says:

It’s perfectly OK to *like* “National Treasure” and/or “Next.” There is no accounting for taste. I like “Hudson Hawk.” The problem would be if you claimed these movies are *good.* They aren’t.

Liking something is subjective; say you like it, OK; explain why you like it, even better. I liked about two minutes of “Next” because for about two minutes, it did give a slick view of how precognition would “look.” The other ninety-one minutes are crap–this is not merely my opinion, but a fact I can prove to anyone with ninety-one minutes to spare.

  14. silarius says:

Oh, and Nic wins this pissing-away contest because he has (or had) way, way more to lose. Travolta is an overrated TV sitcom actor with delusions of grandeur.

  15. Lord of War says:

Come on Lord of War was a great film! :)

Nicolas Cage was great in that movie IMHO.

    So he loses.

  16. DAvE says:

Oh, and I thought they were challenging each other on whose hairline would recede the fastest.

  17. Jake says:

Nicholas Cage wins by far. It doesn’t matter if Travolta does terribly in movies, or that he’s a scientologist.

Nicholas Cage wins because of the Wicker Man remake. That was a movie that was so bad that it was actually funny.

“Oh God, not the bees! AAAAAAAA! Get outta my eyes! AAARGH!”

Also, he seriously punches a woman while wearing a bear costume.
