Sad, but true.
yep, sad and so effin true
Thirded.
FOURTHEDDD…
Fifthed, and I never even watched.
Hopefully the fifth one (If Ford likes the script) won’t have aliens in it. That was really stupid
Nooo!! Haven’t you heard Spielberg’s explanation? They’re not extraterrestrial, they’re EXTRADIMENSIONALS! Of course, that changes everything.
Fans: ‘OMGs we can’t wait til you make another one!’
Director:OMGs we can’t wait to be paid for another one and rekindle a bit of fame!’
Harrison Ford: FINE! I’ll make another one! But it’s gonna be so nonsensical that no one will ever want me to do another! I’m getting too damn old for this! And you’d better have a MediCare-approved doctor on site!
Best comment of the day! Epic Win!
…’and I get to say ‘nucular’!
I desparately hope they find it.
Oh come on, with Shia LaBeouf the series can go on with or without Harrison…
…Sorry I just can’t do it… I just don’t have enough sarcasm in me to finish that sentence.
WIN to the captioner.
Am I the only person on the whole internet that actually liked the recent movie? xD I think I am.
-waits to be bashed-
No. I actually think a lot of it had to do with people getting it so hyped up that they were disappointed. They would have been disappointed no matter how the movie was. Now I can’t say that it’s the best movie, but I gave it a second chance and enjoyed it the second time around.
I still think that trilogies should stay trilogies though.
Nah, I liked it too.
Of course, I’ve never actually seen the other three, so I had no idea what to expect, but still.
I can honestly say I did enjoy the new movie, I just like the first three more. I think they did a pretty decent job of keeping the new movie true to the fantastic nature of the originals. I especially enjoyed the first 20 mins. or so, when we were shown the hiding place of the ark (and the ark itself), and the atomic testing site.
I just can’t see how the series can go on any more, because I don’t think LaBeouf has the chops to pick up in Ford’s place, nor would I want to see him try. Not to mention the fact that making this movie nearly 20 years later, in today’s society, requires the script to be politically correct, and let’s face it, the first three were NOT P.C., because they were based in a time period that P.C.-ness didn’t exist. Not to mention the fact that I was more than a little disturbed when I realized Indiana Jones was wearing old man pants.
I liked it. Compare it to the first three: there’s nothing any less silly in any of them–it’s just easier for some people to suspend disbelief over Judaic artifacts, insane blood rituals, and Sean Connery.
6thed. I particularly agree with Decoy.
I liked how people complained that the aliens were stupid when the first one had angels flying out of the ark of the convenant, the second revolved around brainwashing by drinking blood, and the third was about a cup that made you immortal. Ridiculous was always a factor.
agreed that the first ones were a bit far out, but tey had thatfactor that made it seemingly beliveable. u dont know wut would come out of the ark of the covenant, drinking certain drugs/mixtures of such can alter ur brain, probably not that extreme but at least a little truth in it. the holy grail was just weird that it would make u immortal, i mean wuts next? the holy fork? Jesus pry ate with one of those as well as a drinking glass.
the aliens just pushed it too far. we accepted the oters because we weere willing to take in the ridiculou props and go with it. not so anymore apparently. aliens just put it over the edge.
OH SHUT THE HELL UP! it’s the exat same reason people didn’t like the star wars prequels, yea it can’t compare to the originals, but it was still a dam good movie!
thank you ss4firefox!!!
Hey, it’s ENTERTAINMENT, you boneheads. If you want realism watch the news. Or better still, take a long walk in a really big city at 4:00 a.m.
Well, I havn’t seen the latest sequel so far but I liked the previous parts which were simply outstanding and I am keen to see this new movie…
Indy 5? WTF? MAKE JURASSIC PARK 4!!!
For me, a better story line would have involved a powerful Russian Orthodox artifact. More in keeping with the religious elements in the first three, and Indy still gets to fight the Commies.
This LOL would have been even funnier had Indiana Jones been replaced with The Land Before Time.
indy and the search for God.
