Of course *points to Jack Sparrow* ^_^

  2. MsMsBurning says:

    Heck yeah!

  3. Hdd says:

phuk that. I don’t even need bullets.

    • Nostawyn says:

Or they just like to shoot stuff. It’s fun.

      • Nostawyn says:

The fact that you are so very insistent that guns = small weenies makes me think 2 things about you– 1) You wish you had a gun and 2) you have a small a weenie.

Also? I’m a girl, so I’ve got nothing to compensate for. I just honestly enjoy shooting stuff. And tbh, I’d rather have a guy with an avg. di(k who knows his way around a gun than a man with a megaco(k. Men need to get over the “size is everything” thing.

        • Nostawyn says:

Oh please. Excuse me for enjoying the occasional day at the rifle range and liking cops and soldiers. Excuse me for being smart enough to whip up cupcakes from scratch AND do an oil change. If self-sufficiency is redneck then I guess I am. You’re just an assh@t who wants to pretend he’s better than everyone else because he doesn’t own a gun. Well woop-dee-doo.

Y’know I was actually going to concede that people who are like “look at my AK47″ probably are compensating for something, but after our little “debate” I’m starting to think that they aren’t compensating for as much as you are, pal.

PS- I’m glad you compliment yourself often. I here self-love is important.

          PPS- Really, size isn’t everything.

          • Nostawyn says:

Look mister. . . You can be hateful and boast about the size of your di(k on the internet all you want but you’ll never amount to anything more than someone who makes hasty generalizations on the internet all day.

If you really want to know the truth, I grew up in one of those “backwoods hillbilly” areas you were talking about downthread. And I’m not ashamed of it. I love my hometown and the people in it despite the fact that I’m a “damn liberal” and they’re conservative hicks. If you’re going to judge me based on where I was born and the fact that I grew up in a double wide then you’re far from being the open-minded enlightened man I think you may have deluded yourself into thinking you are.

Besides, if you think situations can be solved with adult conversation, then just freaking have one. Stop insulting the size of others’ genitalia or assuming that they must be this, that, or the other because they old one particular view. You’re not only being biggoted, you’re being childish. And yes, I will admit to stooping to a childish level and I’d like to apologize for that.

I believe that gun ownership is perfectly acceptable provided you intend to use your gun for something (like hunting or sport) and use it responsibly. No, there’s no real reason to just have 20 of them laying around, but a day at the rifle range, shooting little bits of paper with targets on them never did me a bit of harm. I love shooting guns the way some people love archery.

And again, referring to your comment downthread, I’m glad that talking the guy down worked for you. That’s really awesome. But it’s not always going to work that way. There are people who aren’t rational, there are people who won’t care that you care. There are people strung out on drugs and when of THEM comes at you with a knife or a gun, good luck talking him down.

If that happens to me, I’ll pepper spray him in the face, kick him in the nads and run like hell, but only because I don’t have a permit to carry. Do I want to kill someone? Hell no. But if push comes, you can bet your @ss I’m gonna shove.

It’s your right to disagree with my position and it’s your right to refuse to meet violence with violence, and I respect that (both your rights and the pacifist thing). Honestly, I do. But there are better arguments against gun ownership than hasty generalizations and personal attacks against the people who own them.

        • leah says:

Why do you feel the need to attack people with profanity? Ignorance? Everyone is entitled to their opinion including you.do you know what a redneck is? My two baby girls were almost stolen from me in miami several years ago and my shooting the tires on my truck after I was drug out of it at a redlight was the only reason I have then today. I hope u r never in that position but I hope if u r u can do something besides watch some thug drive off with them.how is a woman who is raped strangeled with her own pantyhose somehow morally superior to a woman who lived because she shot the REAL trash? By the way weren’t we talking about barney fife? 100 years ago there was no 911 to call. People had to defend themselves.

    • Scythelord says:

Sad pathetic person I’m replying to.

      Guns are fine moron.

      • Wowyousuck says:

Why the hostility. It’s Don Knots and guns are fine. I am a woman that is with a man with guns, and I have no complaints. You must be a stupid liberal who is green with penis envy over the conservative men.

AND… You know how I know how you’re gay.

Cause you won’t stop talking about other men’s penises.

        • Wowyousuck says:

I’m sorry, but you’re an idiot. It’s sad that you have nothing better to do than insult people on a website where they caption cute cat pictures. Get a life and stop trying to impose your ridiculous ideals on others. No one wants to hear it. Trust me.

          • wowyousuck says:

Okay. Let’s suppose I am the idiot. I was in theatre for fifteen years and was a “breeder” amongst gays. I have tolerance. I do watch Fox News because I cannot stand the opinions of the retards at MSNBC. I prefer to hear people with intelligence talk.

Which left-wing radicals did you ask about gun control? Because I can almost guarantee you that no conservative would say they were for it. You know who else was for gun control? Hitler. And he killed about 5,000 to 15,000 gay men in the Holocaust. I wouldn’t imagine you would support his ideals, would you?

And if you cannot hold a civilized communication with someone on a “human-to-human” level without insulting them, then I think you should do us all a favor and shut your mouth.

        • jkig_54a says:

          1. I can see why you picked that name. It’s very appropriate for you.

          2. When I created this, it was more of a comment on how great Barney Fife’s character was than a political statement about gun ownership.

          3. That having been said, I don’t have a problem with gun ownership. If you have been raised in an area where gun ownership doesn’t make sense that’s wonderful for you. In many places in this country responsible people still use guns as a tool for hunting, for self protection, or simply for a fun sport.

          4. Many people who are so adamantly against gun ownership have never owned or shot a gun themselves. For people like that, I say it is a good thing that they choose not to own a gun. Guns can be dangerous when they are in the hands of someone who doesn’t know what they are doing. I was raised from a very young age to handle guns with respect and safety and to never point a gun at someone unless you intend to shoot them.

          5. While it is true that there are gun accidents, they are not responsible for the majority of gun injuries or deaths in this country or any other. Those accidents could all be prevented if people practiced better safety in the ownership and care of their guns. There are many more people killed in car accidents each year, but I would be willing to bet that you still own a car. Cars, just as guns, can be a dangerous tool when not used responsibly.

          6. Being gay doesn’t have anything to do with guns. However, Freddie Mercury killed more men by having gay sex than I have killed with my guns. So you could argue, that being gay should be illegal because it kills people. I am not arguing that, but by your logic you could.

          7. Winning wars is important. It may not seem like it because the last few wars we fought have not seemed like they would make a big difference in how the world turned out. But you go tell the Jews that were saved from Hitler’s concentration camps that winning wars isn’t important. Or tell the family members of the close to 200,000 Kurds who were murdered by Sadam and buried in mass graves before he was removed from power that winning wars doesn’t matter.

          8. I don’t enjoy violence and I don’t enjoy killing, but sometimes you have to use force to stop force. When that is what is called for, brave men and women from this country step forward with their guns and protect us in the military or as police officers on our streets. And in the rarest of times, when they can’t be there in time to protect us, we have to decide whether or not we will protect ourselves and our familys and stop the force that is bearing down upon us.

          • mcgrath7007 says:

            IMO;

“Real Men, we love them when they are with us and miss them dearly when they have passed.”

Don Knotts had the remarkable ability to endear us, not only to himself, but every character he played. A less-than-stellar officer of the law, a prying, suspicious land lord, a temperament TV repairman, all people who you would never enjoy a moment with but Don made them lovable, dispite their flaws.

He was a master at what he did, and he is missed.

          • Nostawyn says:

            You’re awesome.

          • Messier says:

Exactly! Winning wars is important and not doing so… well

            google search: France

            • Perhaps says:

I dont know why everyone is arguing with him, he is entitled to his own opinion, though it is fun watching him make an idiot of himself. I got a good laugh at reading his comments.

              • knuckledragginwindowlicker says:

LOL! Hey all bad people. Go to Again’s house and steal stuff. He’ll just try and “talk” you out of it. It’s not like he has a gun or anything! Easy mark! Easy Mark!

Seriously though, why would a “pacifist” try to start a fight on an discussion board? Way to keep the peace there, Nancy…

          • jkig_54a says:

Look, guns are an inanimate object. They don’t feel, they don’t think, and they don’t have an opinion. That makes it impossible for them to be evil.
There are evil people in this world who will use a gun to do evil things. The thing is, even if you could snap your fingers and get rid of all the guns in the world those evil people would still find a way to do evil things without them. On Sept 11, a handful of men were able to kill thousands of people with box cutters and airplanes. Those objects weren’t designed to kill people, but evil people committed an evil act with them anyway and killed many more people than they ever could have with guns. What could the people in the towers have said to the men who flew into those buildings to stop them? Nothing, because they never knew what was coming until it was too late. Of course, if there had been good people on those planes WITH guns, they could have done a lot of GOOD WITH GUNS and stopped a tragic event from happening.
I don’t believe that most people are evil. Most Muslims aren’t evil. The guy you talked down was probably not evil, but he was probably drunk. However, there are some people who are so evil that they can’t be talked down and they sometimes don’t even give you the opportunity to talk about it. When Hitler decided to invade most of Europe, there was no talking him down. Everyone could have just let him do whatever he wanted and prevented war, but what would the world be like now? I guess all of the Jews would be dead and we would all be united under one flag. Of course, that flag would be a Nazi flag and I’m pretty sure the Nazi’s wouldn’t approve of your lifestyle. They would probably kill me for not having blond hair and blue eyes. Hitler’s goal was to take over the world and build a super-human race of heterosexual, Catholic, blond hair, blue-eyed people with no birth defects and no mental disorders. You and I would not fit into his world view. We would not be killed by evil guns. We would be killed by his showers or be part of a human bonfire. I admit, Hitler is an extreme example. But there are evil people in this world who can’t be talked down. They have set their mind on their goal and they will either destroy everyone who gets in their way or be destroyed themselves trying to reach that goal.
It may surprise you to know that I am a pacifist myself. I got into one fight in school and I didn’t start it. I try to avoid violence whenever possible because I, like you, believe violence is wrong. I will, however, defend myself if I am attacked. If I get to the point that I feel I have to defend myself I will do so until the person attacking me is not capable of attacking me anymore. I will use whatever tools I have available to me to achieve that goal. However, in the scenario you gave, I wouldn’t use a gun on someone with a knife. I have been trained to defend myself against someone who is using a knife and I feel a broken arm would be sufficient to stop that threat.
As for the AIDS comments, that was probably over the line and I apologize. I was trying to make a point that you can’t throw a blanket of condemnation over things that you personally don’t approve of. That is what is so great about living in this country. I can live somewhere where people enjoy going out and shooting guns and I can participate in that without being hassled about it or told that I shouldn’t do it. You can live somewhere in this country where you can be openly gay and not be hassled for it or told that you shouldn’t be gay. Just so you know, I don’t have a problem with you being gay. I have friends and family who are gay and I don’t try to force my personal beliefs on them. All I ask in return is that I be allowed to live my life the way I personally have chosen to live it without you judging me.
