  9. Hollee says:

    /hug

Let us unite in our geekdom, and have abrupt life-avoiding marathons together!

    • Zoreta says:

      /geek hug time

I still record every episode syfy shows, and faithfully watch every single one, even if I’ve seen it so many times I can say it line for line.

  10. Tara says:

Don’t forget about “Humbug,” that is my all-time fave!!! And the one with the old man from Everybody Loves Raymond, “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose,” that one is brilliant! :D

Ahhh, The X-Files… there has been nothing as good on TV since, methinks.

    • Iduna says:

“Humbug” is my favourite too! My favourite TV-shows are Carnivàle and Twin Peaks (and the X-Files of course), so I was so happy that Michael J. Anderson was in the episode…

    • Zoreta says:

I can’t believe I forgot the name of that episode, humbug was great! And the How the Ghosts Stole Christmas… I remember the first time I watched it, I realized the corpses had the same clothes before Scully did XD

  11. Susan says:

I just recently discovered the X-Files and am now on the 3rd season. Confused about the whole baby thing (spoiler I’m not supposed to know about yet, I’m guessing). But seriously, how long did fans have to wait for them to get together?

    • Hollee says:

Well, aside from a few teaser kisses around seasons 5-7…they didn’t really get together until the very end of the ninth season. And since the last two seasons are generally slow going if you don’t like the new agents, you’ve probably got a while until you get there.

  12. Foxsong says:

I hated ‘Requiem’ and S8 with a passion. CC can bite me.

  13. Ines says:

Yeah, I hated Requiem and season 8, too. I tried to erase those from my memory..

I SO miss Mulder and Scully but I am very happy that the fanbase is still alive. So you can still chat with some people and worship the past times…:) It was such a great time… the thrilling cliffhanger, the speculations on the web… brilliant. We’ll never have that time back.

I started watching the X Files when I was eleven! So, “Too young” is not an argument. :D

    • Coincidence says:

I was only 7 when X Files started. That theme was creepy as all hell to a 7 year old. Plus the general running theme of aliens and paranormal activity = no way in hell I was watching it. It’s not until I was older that I learned to appreciate how brilliant the show was. So “too young” can be a valid argument….only “some” 7 year olds can be cooler than others. Me not so much. =P

      • foxinsocks says:

        I agree!

When I was little the theme song and the credits were creepy. The ‘invisible’ guy/ghost on it, scared me LOL

    • Zoreta says:

I watched since I was a toddler- every Friday night (before Fox moved it to Sunday -grumble) we would get around the TV and watch the same episode. It’s entrenched in my brain FOREVER.

I’m glad the fanbase is alive too, although it does wax and wane A LOT.

  14. XScully says:

Ah, good old X-Files days… You guys remembered a lot of great eps, bot forgot about Milagro. That teaser with the writer ripping his heart off his chest? Frakking awesome (ops, frak is from another fandom :D )

Loved to see a cap from all things, one of my favorite XF epis ever, along with Memento Mori, Post Modern Prometheus, How the Ghosts Stole Christmas….

I really need an X-Files marathon now!

  15. XScully says:

Obviously I meant “but” not “bot”. LOL.

  16. tension says:

I thought the actors who portrayed Scully and Mulder didn’t get along very well in real life…? Just a rumor, maybe? Let me know, XF fans!

    • Hollee says:

It was kind of on and off over the seasons. Especially toward the end the two weren’t getting along so great because Gillian was far underpaid compared to David. However, their on-screen chemistry would not have worked too well if they hated each other, and there was a fair chemistry between them.

  17. viv says:

loved that show, can somebody remember me from which episode is the picture?

  18. Ian says:

I have all nine seasons. lol

  19. charro says:

    *ahem*

The true baby daddy WAS revealed, in the most recent movie, when they were in bed doin’ it. Well, ok they didn’t show them doin’ it, but it was definitely implied. And they kissed. And stuff.

    /BIGGEST NERD!

  20. foxinsocks says:

Also, on the very last episode Mulder was asked about what was he thinking about and he replied… ‘(I’m thinking) About my son … about his mother.’
And later Scully refers to William as ‘THEIR’ son.

Like charro said, they also refered him as THEIR son on IWTB.

And they totally did it on ‘All Things’… maybe even before it.

    /nerd out! :P

  21. cupincakes says:

and she named him william after Mulder’s dad (and Fox[y] Mulder’s middle name)…because it was mos def his baby.

  22. charro says:

*sigh* Meaning, they talked about the kid as “theirs”.

  23. Hollee says:

Also, ‘all things’ begins with Scully getting up from being in bed with Mulder and…come on, with all that sexual tension, you think they weren’t gettin’ it on?

  24. Hollee says:

I don’t think I could be more excited that you just mentioned ‘Post Modern Prometheus’ because that is probably my favorite episode. Yay for Cher!

And ‘X-Cops’…where would we be without ‘X-Cops’? And ‘First Person Shooter’ and ‘Bad Blood’ and ‘Je Souhaite’…

  25. smirks says:

Awww….I love Jose Chung and Post-Modern Prometheus too.

  26. Kendra says:

Home is my favorite episode. Everytime I hear the song “Wonderful, Wonderful”, I can’t help but smile and get the heebeejeebees at the same time. LOL

Also, Scully saying “Baaah raaaam Eeewwww” is PRICELESS!

  27. Zoreta says:

Home is creepy, but my creep-out episode? ‘Our Town.’

I love the episode Eve, though- one of my personal favorite episodes.

  28. charro says:

    Wow. Really?

  29. Iduna says:

David Boreanaz has said multiple times that the relationship between Booth and Brennan is inspired by the X-Files. Also, in the pilot, while trying to convince Brennan to work with him, he says “we’ll be Mulder and Scully!” to which she, naturally, replies “I don’t know what that means”.

  30. Claire says:

That’s because “Bones” is a complete rip-off of “X-Files”. Or should I say it’s just a wannabe? I don’t think that there has ever been a relationship on television or in movies that is quite as beautiful, complex, and unique as the relationship between Mulder and Scully.

  31. suey says:

William is also the name of Scully’s day and her older brother who is in the navy :)

  32. Kendra says:

Bingo. “All Things” implies a sexual relationship. Gillian Anderson wrote the episode and even admitted that Chris Carter told her to take that direction to imply an off-camera intimacy because it would later play out in Scully’s pregnancy it was a direct set-up because Mulder WAS the father of the baby. That’s straight from the horse’s mouth.

So . . . cheers to the best show in the history of television! *clink*
