Oddly, I am weirded out and a little offended when people can’t tell I’m gay after having met me (or especially so when I’ve known them for a while). When they finally figure it out I get over it and usually give them a big “Well, DUH!”

What DOES bother me A LOT is when people assume that certain kinds of men are gay that may not be (and probably aren’t). Generally applies to anyone non-masculine (like geeks, artists, eccentrics, etc.)

To be honest, I knew about most of them off the top of my head. The only one I didn’t get what “The Fairy Shoeperson”, because I am not a big Sesame Street guy (being somewhat older than the average demographic).

I knew about Starship Troopers, How I Met Your Mother, Spiderman, Family Guy, Dr Horrible, Spiderman and Harold and Kumar, and was fairly sure he had been in Blossom once (I watched it a lot when I was younger).

And, on a related note, I am starting to think my brain retains FAR TOO MUCH trivial information about a lot of things.

I can’t believe it took nearly a whole thread for someone to bring up JOHN BARROWMAN. *Drools*

NPH has always been a great actor. What differentiates him from other child/teen actors is, he just kept on working after Doogie Howser ended. He didn’t whine about getting smaller parts or lament his lot in life – he just kept on acting in various roles, large or small. So now I think he deserves any bit of fame he can get. And he gay? That just means I will now feel guilty about marrying him in my dreams.

He’s not saying he’s good because he’s gay. He’s pointing out that a gay man playing someone who is a very convincing straight guy is quite impressive in acting terms.

It would be like Mel Gibson playing a Rabbi. Or Tom Cruise playing a sane guy. Or Keanu Reeves playing someone who can act.
