We’ve always called “lazy eye”, “Walleye” since it usually heads outward…toward the wall.
I think the name “walleye” comes from the name of a fish…the walleye pike can look in a different direction with each eye at the same time, and people who have “walleyes” look like they are doing just that. A friend of mine is british and he calles them “bosseyed” (the people, not the fish), but I have no idea why.
