I wonder how many of you realize that more conservatives watch Colbert than liberals, because they are laughing at how utterly wrong the liberal interpretation of their position is from the truth, which shows through in much of the “comedy”? Nothing’s funnier than watching a critic make a fool of himself when he’s trying to make fun of you, and failing.

Actually, writing a book is very common. Check it out sometime – seems nearly everyone in politics writes a book at some point, most often after a lost election.
The trick here is that most election-year-runner-ups don’t attract as much media attention as Palin. She’s a polarizing figure, and that draws the media. (I’m not a fan myself, but I don’t hate her, for the record.)

VPs do not have elections. There is no election for a VP. They are appointed then run as part of the ticket in the presidential election. ie. there is no such thing as a VP election thus witch or not Sarah Palin cant lose it.

And as to the biased-ness of CBS etc., you tell me, when was the last time you heard them mention Biden. You don’t hear about him because if they did let him talk, you would here him trying to spell “run” with 4 letters.
I don’t know about CBS, but there are countless sound bites of Biden saying something incredibly stupid.
