The man’s dead. Have a little respect and don’t make fun of him. I mean seriously people. He was an amazing musican.

    • clever5leazoid says:

the same could be said about MJ but he still has jokes about it. Loosen up, it’s all in good fun and a funny way of remembering him.

      • Doubts says:

Really?!?!?! Comparing a child molesting, freak who happened to be able to dance to Hendrix??? Burn BURN!!!!

        • paws4thot says:

          Seconded.

Oh and incidentally I’ve always thought Jimi was a bona fide genius, and I never liked MJ even before the plastics, the whitness and the child molesting allegations.

    • Matrix says:

I do respect him. We are making fun of a statue. Sheesh.
You shouldn’t be afraid to have a sense of humor even if the person is dead. Agreed Hendrix was a genius, many geniuses have problems as do we all.
Only Hendrix could have played the National Anthem to an early morning second day of a concert famous for drugs AND have it sound cool to be patriotic in a time where not many people were, least of all rebel rock ‘n roll performers.

      • RockGuy says:

Oh, dear God. He was not being patriotic. He was commenting negatively on the government and the Viet Nam war. He even said so afterwards – all the static, conflict, and confusion was what he was trying to evoke.

    • Why not? says:

Whoa, I didn’t get the memo letting me know what types of humor are appropriate on the internets…

  10. 2ndgaterocklee says:

Hey hey hey! I din’t know that was metal. It looked like stone to me. Plus, I DO have respet for Hendrix, but he DID have quite the drug problem. Plus, it’s ROFLRazzi– it’s supposed to be taken lightly.

  11. Dude says:

I’d like to say “Too Soon ,Man”

  12. Schmoe says:

Listen to what you’ve had since then. He is on the list of “what fabulous stuff would they be doing today, if only….” Like Lennon and Morisson and Joplin and Coltrane and Parker and Porcaro and Barrett and Tony Williams and…oh, go find some more
