The right side got multiplied through by 3, then they subtracted 9x from both sides, then they divided both sides by -7 (which caused the < to flip) to get i <3 u (I heart you).
Why does the equality sign flip from greater than to less than?
Because of the cancellation in negative sign, I believe.
That actually only works when you’re multiplying; in this problem, you’re actually subtracting 9x, not multiplying by it. So: fail.
They divided by negative 7 after that.
Please don’t act like you understand math.

to

Another way to put it out that is ‘simpler’ to understand:
9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
9x-7i > 9x – 21u
-9x -9x (subtract 9x from both sides)
-7i > -21u
+7i +7i (add 7i to both sides)
0 > 7i -21u
+21u +21u (add 21u to both sides)
21u > 7i
/7 /7 (divide both sides by 7)
3u > i
Reverse to get
i < 3u or spaced correctly i <3 u
