This is full of winsauce and epicness
Actually, it looks like his younger years ahaha.
It’s an improvement
Holy crap! This was quite possibly the most disturbing and depressing movie I ever saw!! I didn’t sleep right for days.
An incredibly moving and yet disturbing film, beautifully made as well, with a haunting theme.
Ellen Burstyn was amazing in this film, and imho should have received the Oscar for best actress.
Seriously!. Why the hell did the oscar go to the overrated Julia Roberts?
She won ONE Oscar.
Boobs
T_T
totally agree
“I’m gonna wear my red dress!” Ellen Burstyn was up for an Oscar for this role, but she didn’t win. It went to Julia Roberts for Erin Brokovich instead. That was the last year I watched the Oscars. Ellen Burstyn did not ACT in this film, you would not say she was acting. She WAS this woman, slowly spirialing away with a speed addiction, lost dreams, and loneliness. It was memersizing. The entire film, Requiem for a Dream, is really a great film that should discourage anyone from hard drugs.
*sigh* Yeah, that’s the problem. SHOULD. Which indicates that the people who most need to watch it watch Erin Brockovitch instead.
4 words…..Requiem For A Dream
If I hadn’t seen that amazingly disturbing movie I would laugh at this. But I did so now It just makes me want to sign a anti-drug petition.
Yeah… I think I am with everyone else here. It really was depressing watching her in this movie, she did such a fantastic job.
“I’m gonna be on television!”
“yes that’s nice mister top, now take your pills.”
I absolutely love this movie. I really do. It’s so heart-wrenching to see the characters completely fall apart the way they do, especially Ellen’s because she didn’t even choose that life, it was mistakenly pushed upon her by a negligent doctor.
it’s also good they dont display the users as nasty, greasy or zoned out… they kinda look vageuly normal
This is one of my favorite movies. It is so powerful, such a moving and impressive depiction of addiction. I want my son to see it, but waiting until he’s old enough and mature enough for the sex show part.
I forgot to mention the soundtrack is beautifully haunting too.
Lux Aeterna… But then I came across Leama – Requiem For A Dream (Leama’s Dream Mix) and played the vinyl till it was grey…
On another note: Trainspotting’s dead baby was another one of those disturbingly unforgetable moments, much like the character Ellen Burstyn portrayed here… The Oscar should have been hers imho…
I think I watched this movie about four times in a weekend. It’s a beautiful piece of art with a very dark and disturbing, but entirely necessary, undertone.
aileen wuornos?
omg hahahahaha
