  1. Zel says:

Honestly, this woman is retarded. I really don’t know why all the hype after her.

    • Alex says:

Honestly, no one cares about your negative opinions and how it will not affect the opinions and attitudes of mainstream society.

    • Desensitive says:

She’s wearing a phone on her head. That’s a whole kind of weird coolness and creativity that people can’t help but be attracted to. I mean, you don’t even like her and you commented. I mean she has a FREAKIN phone on her HEAD. lol

      • Zel says:

Yeah I know it’s a freaking phone on her head made with her own hair but that weird coolness just doesn’t amuse me.

        • Gezza says:

ooh I disagree. Unlike other celebrities, she has a unique personality which makes her so attractive. Plus her music and videos are extremely creative

          • Scythelord says:

It’s random, but not unheard of. Not attracted to her personality, music, or sense of humor personally.

          • egrjhhg says:

I agree with Gezza. If you look at her songs as compositions (and also what she does musically in an acoustic or stripped down version), you have to appreciate her as a talented musician.
I think one should be able to separate her as a public figure on one side, and as a musician on the other. Yes, the two blend at some point, but still it is a different kind of matter to find her retarded as a public person (which may be not the same as the person she is in her private life), or to say she is retarded period.

Maybe it is indeed true, that if it wasn’t for her so-called weirdness, she wouldn’t be famous. But even if she isn’t famous due to her musical talent (or that isn’t the main reason), I kind of appreciate she eventually got famous, because now I can enjoy her music. And I honestly do.

Wow, this could be considered as ranting. My apologies. :)

            • VZG says:

You don’t have to appreciate her as a talented musician, actually. Yes, some of her music might show talent if you stripped the lyrics, but much of it is just the same flash and bang she puts out with her physical image in sound form.

              • huh says:

It’s a matter of taste, I guess. I like the acoustic versions of her songs very much, for example. (So without the “bang and the flash”, as you put it.) And I think her compositions are really good, because they are very open to all kinds of variations. I mean, the melodic and rythmic (is this written correctly?) lines are strong enough to survive a stripped down version. (Which can’t be said of many other songs.) And, people can keep covering it in very original ways, just look on youtube.

But then again, de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est. :)

          • VZG says:

Either “unique” doesn’t mean what you think it means, or you’ve a very limited knowledge of public personalities.

        • Fat Back says:

That’s not her own hair…. its store bought.

    • Jake says:

Calling her retarded is an insult to people who are really retarded.

      • egrjhhg says:

This indeed is all a reply needs to be. This is good.

      • Aggie T. says:

Definitely more talented than most of the people who hate her or call her “retarded”. Which, btw, really is an insult to people who really are retarded.

      • kittydee29 says:

i’ve seen this before and i like it better every time.

at least she can actually play her own music (even if she doesn’t write

oh, and look, NO AUTO TUNE!

whether or not her style of music is your taste, you have to admit she has far more talent than the majority of artists now.

    • gams says:

      she is retarded.

  2. Eli says:

Wow the first is so funny that it’s not funny at all. And the rest are decent at best. I’ve seen better ones.

  3. Loegria says:

But would Andy Warhol have hung out &/or sponsored her?

    • boringTroll says:

Lady Gaga is an expert in marketing. It appears she doesn’t need sponsors.
I don’t have a clue about her personality, so I don’t have a clue if she and a reincarnated Andy Warhol could get along. Although, zombie artists don’t tend to get along with anyone.

  4. icy_kitteh says:

Please keep your negative comments to yourself. If you don’t like lady gaga then don’t even post, ‘kays?

    • Morely Dotes says:

I don’t like people who tell me to keep my opinion to myself. IF you don’t like that, tough. Deal with it.

    • jasonx says:

Lady Gaga is the best of all time. She has talent and a fashion sense that no one else could possibly rival. The sun revolves around her, her breath is our oxygen, and… yeah, can’t do it. I thinks she’s a sheep-hyped Madonna wannabe with very tepid songs. Sorry.

“Rah Rah La La La Blah Blah Goo Goo Ga.”

Seriously, what the hell is that?

      • Melizza says:

It almost sounds like my baby nephew! Awwwwww

      • Ming says:

I agree, she’s just like Madonna, and does the most ridiculous things to seem “creative”, when all it really is is throwing a bunch of garbage on and calling it good. It’s stupid, is what it is.

        • Scythelord says:

          Bingo. Ming nails it.

          • egrjhhg says:

Although I appreciate Lady Gaga more than Madonna as a musician, I have to agree that both ladies indeed do the most ridiculous things to “seem” creative. Only I see that as being creative. There are no boundaries to being creative, so why don’t try the most ridiculous things to see if that works out?

But that set aside, even if they do ridiculous things, to keep the public’s attention, you still have to keep in mind that they both have musical talent. In my opinion Lady Gaga (more than Madonna) is truly a genius musician; and that’s why I like her.

    • VZG says:

Is that a sudden Lady Gaga only rule? Because I’m pretty sure people wouldn’t say “keep pedophile jokes to yourself” in response to a Michael Jackson post, or “stop mentioning her time in prison” to Martha Stewart posts.

And yes, plenty of people like them, too.

  5. scenceable says:

LADY GAGA AIN’T NO HERMAPHRODITE, SHE’S A MUSICAL LYRICAL GENIUS

    • Melizza says:

Why is it everyone gets mad when she gets accused of being one? She can be a musical lyrical hermaphrodite genius.

      • Ellie says:

That is pretty funny. I mean, why can’t hermaphrodites have talent too?

        • Fat Back says:

someone needs a dictionary… if she is a lyrical genius then Bush was the smartest man on earth

        • A Nonny Moose says:

Sigh. The hermaphrodite urban legend is something perpetuated by people who can’t handle an assertive woman being in control of her work, money and sexuality. They can’t possibly grok that a woman is in control, therefore they have to attribute her with male characteristics. In order to shame, they twist those male characteristics into something they construe as “not normal”.

Normal is an assertive woman. Normal is also a hermaphrodite. You can be one, the other, both and still be a great human being.

What is not normal, or great as a human being, is attempting to drag people down because they can’t stand “different”.

          • Katarine says:

            Well stated! I totally agree.

          • kittencrump says:

Actually she said she had a penis, she called it a peener lol it was something on youtube. My sister showed it to me.

            • A Nonny Moose says:

Yes, she also makes jokes about having one (see the latest Q magazine shoot for eg) as a throw back in the face of the sexism.

          • Scythelord says:

It’s nothing to do with sexism you dolt. Not trying to “attribute her with male characteristics” because she’s “an assertive woman being in control with her work, money and sexuality.” Nothing could be further from the truth. You wanna know a woman who is assertive and in control of her work money and sexuality who isn’t attributed with male attributes? Try Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek… etc.

Don’t bring sexism into this. Almost as bad as when the race card is played in incidents where there is no racism.

            • Dreamer says:

I’m pretty sure none of those women have stood out like Gaga. They pretty much follow trends, whereas it looks like Gaga makes up her own…I’m not standing up for her, because I definitely don’t like her, but I won’t support a comment just because it makes her look bad.

Of course people are going to attack Lady Gaga more than anyone else. And I agree that the hermaphrodite rumor is popular because she is a woman, and that we live in a society where “abnormal” is considered wrong.

              • nana meese says:

When I first saw her, I didn’t know if she was a woman or a cross-dressing man- before I heard the hermaphrodite rumors. I didn’t care either way (don’t like her music)- I just thought she looked kind of like a guy in crazy women’s clothes. Maybe it’s because her outfits fit the “flamboyant” stereotype, but it’s certainly not because I instantly thought she was strong and independent and/or original.

              • egrjhhg says:

Your comment is well considered, I totally agree.

  6. Now she’s just weirding me out. I can usually stand her and her outfits. Or I can simply just laugh it off. But this phone thing is different.

  7. BRMBug says:

Okay, the last cap is a liiitle over the top.

  8. Ellie says:

Is it weird I didn’t notice she had a phone on her head before the captions and comments?

  9. ChickyChica says:

I really don’t understand why people get so hateful towards Lady Gaga. She’s an artist, being creative is her job. I like to think of Lady Gaga as something similar to modern art; you either like it or you don’t, but either way you have to respect it.

    • Sinner says:

I agree. Look at Marilyn Manson. He’s known as the “shock rocker”, always wearing odd make-up and/or costumes. She’s just doing the same thing. I don’t like her music at all, but I can respect the fact that she is a talented artist, and she knows what sells. Being strange. If she didn’t wear those weird costumes, and do her hair like this no one would think twice about her.

      • Fat Back says:

And she makes more money than all of us posting combined (probably)… I’d wear phone hair if it got me noticed and paid

    • Zel says:

What I really don’t like about this woman (and some other artists) is her intensive pursue after atention. I mean… just take look at her clothes. Every event she goes their clothes are like “HEY, FORGET EVERYTHING AND LOOK AT ME!”. Why can’t she wear something soberly instead of always trying to appear more than other people? I can’t stand this. But either way I respect those who enjoy this kind of stuff

      • A Nonny Moose says:

        *cough*TallPoppy*cough*

      • Al says:

She says it’s just the way she is, and I respect her desire to stand out.

      • kittencrump says:

if i had the money not to worry about being fired, I would wear stuff like that. A giant hair bow and telephone and red gauzy stuff all, standing out is part of life and if you dont your just another person

      • Whatever says:

It perpetually cracks me up when people come down on performers for “attention seeking”.

Seriously? What sort of person do you EXPECT to get up on a stage in front of thousands of people and dozens of cameras and sing and dance? Shy, retiring people?

Wear something sober? Okay, singers, from now on, all of you dress like you’re going to traffic court, stand completely still in front of the microphone, and sing each song the same exact way every single time. Oh, and don’t write new songs of your own, because that’s “trying to be more than other people”. Sing only old showtunes, TV jingles, and your respective national anthems. Auditorium lights on full please, and no spotlights, so that no one feels less special and important than anyone else.

        Paaarty time.

    • Dreamer says:

Throwing on a bunch of random junk is not creative. There’s never any meaning to what she wears. If she honestly wore something that looked like she put some thought into it, maybe I would respect her. All of her outfits so far have screamed “Look at me!!”, and then when the attention is on her, she never has anything insightful or even mildly intelligent to say.

      • AXOLOTL15 says:

If you’d even take the slightest amount of your time to see the backstage videos and interviews, you’d see that Lady Gaga’s entire life revolves around her fashion. She puts a lot of time and a lot of effort into her designs, and believe it or not, they DO express a message (see Gaga’s “The Living Dress”), but since you’re too stubborn and close-minded to see it, you’re not going to. There’s a saying where I’m from, which trans;ates loosely to “There is no worse blind person than he who does not want to see”.

        Jackass.

  10. Shark Attack says:

She can sing, but she is also Bat-F*ck crazy.

  11. kennyfox says:

shes a 23 year old, party loving, friendly, bisexual woman, who can sing like an angel, and doesnt give a damn what people think of how she dresses :P

  12. web puppy says:

I am seriously in love with her publicist. Where can I find one like her’s?? He a magician.

    • A Nonny Moose says:

      1) Why do you think she’s not doing her publicity herself
      2) Even if she has a publicist, why is it automatically a male.

      I’m guessing you’re trolling.

  13. sultrypickle says:

I personally don’t care for her and I think she looks like an idiot. Anyone that says she is a musical genius really need to be sat down and schooled on REAL music.

I will admit that she makes somewhat okay, mindless music with a beat that I could possibly dance to when I’m drunk but that is about it. I wouldn’t go out of my way to hear her nor would I waste any money on her music. I think she looks like an idiot most of the time to.

On a nicer note, though I don’t care for her fashion sense I do have to admit that people didn’t like most artists who push the limit on “fashion”. You have brought up Madonna and I have to point her out too. Most people said Madonna didn’t have a good fashion sense and was a train wreck but now she is considered a pop idol. Weather Lady Gaga will become one as well or if she will finally dwindle away and be that weird person that used to be on the radio, only time will tell.

    • The great BJ says:

I personally am insulted that you seem to think liking lady ga ga and having a good taste in music, l love david Bowie, tori Amos and classical music. I also think lady ga ga is amazing. Try listening to her stuff properly, without a pre-concived idea in your head if you still don’t like the music then it’s personal taste, not no taste

      • egrjhhg says:

Yes, totally agreed! I study music myself, and try to be as open-minded as possible. And I like Lady Gaga’s music.

  14. hungryforknowledge says:

I think everyone needs to remember this: De gustibus non disputante est. It’s Latin for “about taste, there is no debate.”

  15. LoverBee says:

She got her inspiration for everything because she got into the death/black metal scene in Germany, Italy, and France. You have to admire that.

  16. Jenn says:

Seriously just grow up and stop acting like you are a couple of 5-year olds

  17. blah says:

lady gaga is the man – oops lady I mean

  18. barryplopper says:

can i cut in here. umm, ninjas rule. that will be all.

  19. Bladerunner says:

    Personally I cannot stand her.
Did REAL talent (Debbie Harry, Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Annie Lennox) have to resort to such cheap gimmicks?

    • Multi-Facets says:

Said “gimmicks” weren’t really in style then. Either that or they were mostly Sir Elton John’s gig.

  20. breanna says:

Hey ummmm is the contest still on cause me and my friends are mking a video to this and we wanna join the contest cause the video is gonna ROCK we are having like 10 of my friends in it!!

  21. EvilKittehs says:

wouldnt it be nice if we could all talk on the phone without having to touch the phone that: fell on the floor, was sat on by the cat, was probably licked by the dog and was chewed on by a baby? I’m just saying. At least we wouldn’t have to touch it.
