Captioneers: To make everyone else slowly hate your favorite celebrity, keep submitting captions telling us how cool they are.
I can agree with this. I’d never heard of David Tennant before this site, and still haven’t seen or heard anything about him anywhere but here.
Yet I’m already sick of him.
And Barty Crouch, Jr on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
And Hamlet at the Royal Shakespeare Company in an theatrical performance where Patrick Stewart played Claudius.
…I hate you. Just saying, beacause David Tennant is the best thing that ever happened to tv….. Just sayin’.
Mhmm i agree.. ;P Smexy
Ditto on all counts.
On the subject of things that can go away, when will “Adjective noun is adjective” finally get that stab in the throat we’ve been sending it’s way for quite some time now?
Wait until he opens his mouth and shows us the quite British dental style.
I’m kidding, Tennant was a really great Doctor. And it’s a must-see show anyway.
^.^ Not to mention he isn’t British…
The funny thing is that I think my roommate’s said something about his teeth and for the life of me, I can’t see anything wrong with them…He’s got a gorgeous smile…
Would love to see him in Casanova, hahahah…
David is Scottish, born a few miles from me. Scotland is part of Great Britain. It might help if you think of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as being somewhat analogous to states in the Usay.
Incidentally, Chris Eccleston is from Manchester, which despite being described in Dr Who (New Who 1:1) as being “in the North” is nearer to London than it is to Clydeside in Scotland, where David and I are from!
oh the teeth thing might come from the first episod of Doctor Who with Tennant(actualy the last with Eccleston ) when the Doctor regenerated from the ninght(Christopher) in the tenth(David) and his first words were “New teeth.Thats weird”…no i’m not obsessed with Dr Who…well not really..xD
What is with the David Tennant fixation around here lately? It’s not even close to being amusing.
Tastes are different. Some watch the Survival #n, others watch Dr. Who. He definitely is/was an exceptional actor, I only hope the next one won’t be much worse.
Agreed, Tennant is a very fine actor. Caught a little bit of the televised version of Hamlet over Xmas, and he was ace – wish I’d gotten to see him in it on stage. . .
I second that, DaffySaffy- I’ve never really watched Doctor Who; I’m a Tennant fangirl solely because of the awesomeness of his Hamlet.
I watch Dr Who. I just don’t think posting pictures of Tennant with inane fanboy/girl-gushing is all that funny or interesting.
He just ended his run as The Doctor. What you’re seeing are withdrawal symptoms.
Heheh, now if you lived somewhere you could get BBC3 those withdrawal symptoms would so not exist! They re-run his Dr Who series the same way E4 re-runs Friends from start to finish
I was wondering the same thing….
Cool; there are icicles along the top of my monitor now!
YEEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Cool? I don’t even know who this dude is.
To Google!
You’re just another naive American, aren’t you?
What the hell does that have to do with anything?
The odds of you being British and not knowing who DT is are about 60_000_000 to 1 against.
Try watching Doctor Who (new Who) after Season 1 on BBC America.
Doctor Who is a staple of a genre that only a portion of America appreciates. While I’m not versed on the prior doctors, I am vaguely aware of Chris Eccelstein’s (sp) reincarnation and feel I am rather well-versed in the period Tennant was the Doctor. This is due to the lengthy break that was taken (I’m only 27).
It doesn’t hurt that I felt compelled to get Seasons 2-4 (thank you, Donna Noble – and not to say I don’t intend to get the earlier doctors, because I do), but it made me realize a number of things about the series (namely that most of the episodes that I absolutely loved were written by Russell T. Davies, who, if I’m not mistaken, wrote a number of my favorite shows for BBCAmeria, and also that Donna Noble was not really favored in Australia…although I am of the opinion that she was better than both Rose and Martha and am severely disappointed in her ending).
*gigglesnort* I’m now reminded of Graham Norton…
P.S. – Please don’t ask how I made that connection…
It’s ok; I didn’t mean that everyone in the Usay should know who David (or indeed Chris) are. I was just pointing Ninjister to probably their best known and most readily accessible Tv role.
Well, I know DT from lots of things, and CE likewise. My hope is that someday Kevin Mckidd will be on more shown here in the states.
sigh
he should just pull them off and yell YEEEEAHH.
That just earned you a promotion, lieutenant. Keep up the good work.
Look, let’s be honest, everyone who knows who he is read that comment, then thought about him pulling ‘them’ off.
And it wasn’t the shades.
Is this from “Planet of the Dead”? God that episode sucked.
It certainly did. And this roflrazzi sucked as much.
Actually, the only part of the ep I liked WAS the sunglasses.
Agreed.
Holy crap!
Until this very comment, I thought that was Corey Feldman….
I mean– the 90s pseudo-artsy background, the straight-from-a-pop-video costume….
But he never did a series of anything, so now I’m just baffled.
He looks awfully pale to be standing on Tatooine like that.
“even cool people” . . . “even cooler”?
Tennant is cool.
There is no reason to say it on a marco, however.
Much better to say it on a Giovanni.
and this person is?
had you read previous comments, you might have ascertained that he is an actor known as the Doctor (formerly, anyhow) from Dr Who.
If David Tennant will be in an episode in CSI Miami…
I think the world will end with so much awesome.
‘True. But what about this guy?’ My first reacion Ohhh! lol he’s not cool..he’s awesome
Best doctor!!
“Best doctor!!”
Bite your tongue! Tom Baker was THE Doctor, everyone else was “The Other Doctors”. IMHO of course.
Ah…..I really did miss him. AND his loopy scarf!
Jelly baby?
I knew of Tennant prior to him being on “Doctor Who”, and that was when he played Barty Crouch, Jr. in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. But he is definitely my Doctor. I’m more than willing to give Matt Smith a chance, he’s got some really big trainers to fill.
David Tennant brought in a raw energy, as well as some very strong depth and dimensionality to the character which made him real interesting to watch. It’s especially evident in the “Human Nature” 2-parter during the 3rd series. And before you go accusing me of being a “David Tennant fanboy” or “just a fan of the new series”, let me assure you I have watched a bit of the classic series, and I did think it was pretty good.
Also, I’d like to add that my own mother, a devoted fan of the classic series, agrees with me that David Tennant was a great Doctor in his own right, even though she still considers Tom Baker to be her Doctor.
I think I should be allowed to have both. AND CE as well.
He was also a really good Doctor, and I was sad to see he only decided to do one season.
SQUEEEEEEE! Great, now Im acting like the little fangirl I’m not, oh, well, DT is a bucket of Awesome in so many ways. Just hope walrus doesn’t take it back.
Kind of embarrassed to see such a bad caption with his face on it…
Nonetheless…. mmmmmmmmm… David…
I’m American and yet I am a big Doctor Who fan…I’m special! Anyway while the episode was crap, David Tennant is awesome, and while I like Matt Smith, he isn’t nearly as good.
rawr iam an american and i am in love with the show and hes super hot
dorthyinwonder- Im Australian and Donna was my favourite. I loved the way she acted so…human. She would always hesitate as if to say “i cant believe i am doing this”. I didnt like the way they ‘killed’ off her character.
i love the doctor
Go Whovians!
Third Australian who loved Donna
David Tennant is cool. AND who ever said these captions had to be funny?
Srsly.
Am I the only one who was really into Christopher Eccleston as Doctor Who?
I think he was really awesome, funny and much more likeable than David Tennant, even though he’s not such a perfectly good-looking fellow.
Don’t get me wrong, I also like David Tennant he’s cute and also talented I think, but i feel Eccleston ist kinda ignored, could that be?
no,no your right Eccleston is an awesome doctor i think more ppl know about Tennant because he had a longer run then Eccleston (i like Tennant more bc he was the first doctor i ever saw)
just saying i hate matt smith, and eccleston is ignored because he only lasted one season
