Miley Cyrus on the other hand, well… she has legitimately become a metaphor for sucking. I reserve judgement on Kanye’s talent, because I don’t listen to a lot of his genre. As for his personality, however… He is an ass. Live long and prosper.

I’m proud to say I didn’t care then and I don’t care now.
Because it was rude, obnoxious, uncalled for, and just makes him look like a complete prick. It was clearly a huge moment for her and a great achievement. Takes a special kind of ass to do what he did regardless of who was winning the award.

I may used the wrong term then. The Grammys, ACMA, CMA, AMA, CMT, BMI, Billboard, MTV, and People’s Choice Awards Taylor Swift has won usually have her listed as “Artist” or “Vocalist”, rather than just a mere “singer”.
Regardless of who was interrupted this episode exhibits a comprehensive lack of class, taste and decorum on the part of Mr. West. But these days, class, taste and decorum are being gradually destroyed by “contemporary society”. (That’s why I take so many words to explain that I agree with CGS.)

Is there a difference between Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift? They are both horrible, horrible singers. Kanye was just trying to warn us of Taylor’s evil plan to destroy the world by reducing standards to a point so low that gravity would see her win a Grammy and say to hell with it, I quit, letting everyone float off into space.

Agree that Miley probably wouldn’t have won, but if she had and Kanye had tried that stunt, she would have gone upside his head with the trophy. Say what you like about her as a musician, but you don’t mess with Kentucky girls! (And the resulting dent would have made it a conversation piece for years. [Do I mean in the trophy of Kanye's skull? Either or both!])

Taylor did not deserve to win any Grammy’s for her overplayed, undertalented self. That said, I still think Kanye was out of line. If the world knows that Taylor sucks, then there is no need to steal the moment from her. He was so innapropriate I stopped my outrage at such a no-talent winning a Grammy to feel bad for her.
