This actually IS a place
Vulcan, Alberta, Canada. All manner of UFO and Star Trek stuff. Small town, extremely kitchy but fun if you know what you’re getting yourself into
I live in Calgary! Nimoy was here for a Comin-con and because Vulcan, Alberta was being designated an official Star Trek town or some such thing.
man, that comic expo was so SWEET.
I think we are all missing the larger point here. The fact that Lenord Nimoy and William Shatner tweet each other all the time.
I know! It’s so awesome that they’re still such close friends after all these years.
Hey – didn’t Shatner ride a horse through time and space and save the day in one of the movies? (Died at the end, though. Bummer). Or was that Kirk? Would anyone be surprised if either showed up on a horse in Vulcan, Jupiter (FL), or Iowa?
You know that Kirk and Shatner are the same person, right?
Wasn’t it all ready designated as a star trek town? I coulda sworn I saw a model of the enterprise last time I drove through there. . . .
You’re thinking of Riverside, Iwoa, future birthplace of Captain James Tiberius Kirk.
Pretty much what Miss M said- there actually is a city called Vulcan that’s not too far from Calgary.
Wow. A lot of Trekkie nerds live in Canada. I feel dirty.
Only cause I was gonna make the reference first.
And Leonard Nimoy was actually in Vulcan. I live near Calgary and there is a tiny town called Vulcan there.
If I had known he was going to be in Vulcan I would have went to get an autograph! I could cry! It’s a 5 hour drive… but Leonard Nimoy is so totally awesome!
I enjoy the fact that I read this entire conversation. It was quite amusing really. Twitter has turned everyone into complete creepers. It’s awesome.
