  1. Pngas says:

that caption could be misunderstood in many ways

  2. Anon says:

go back to your commie party, commie

    • BAReFOOt says:

Communism — Because knowing that everything is ſucked up, is better than living in a happy zombie fantasy world, that’s still just as ſucked up. ;)

  3. peepers says:

“Believe, conform, obey”? Is she watching fox news?

  4. peepers says:

You beat your Beck? Ride your OReilly? Give yourself a Hannity-job?

  5. Onion says:

Calvin: It says here, “Religion is the opiate of the masses.”…What do you suppose that means?
TV: …It means Karl Marx hadn’t seen anything yet…

  6. fattoler says:

I don’t get the hate Fox gets Bill O’Reilly seems reasonable, and I live in England

    • whatevskies says:

Fox is a Republican channel. Their news is biased, like many other news channels. They just get a lot of hatred because Republicans haven’t had a good reputation these past few years. Everyone thinks we eat puppies and hate people.

      • fattoler says:

That’s the thing that pisses me off most about people today, they never realise that in a free country you should be allowed to say wish and that there are going to be two sides to every argument, Fox therefore fills the role of giving the centre right opinion on matters.

Sure you can go back to your land of nuts and honey in the liberal media but when someone else starts to loudmouth a different opinion to yours on another news outlet that’s unacceptable, even though the news outlet you listen to is just as biased toward the views you find acceptable.

        • peepers says:

          waaaaaaah! lol conservadouche

        • That man over there says:

Hey, I like democrats and republicans all the same, but Bush and his administration kinda screwed us over for eight years. Him and his administration are the reasons republicans get bad rep

          • aerialbomber says:

Meanwhile, Clinton sold secrets to China, cheated on his wife for like, a secretary-then lied about it. Logic just sucks, eh?

            • peepers says:

hahahaha Bush sold America to China, lets 3000 Americans die, started a pointless war in Iraq that will last forever…

but yeah, Clinton got a blowy. I can see your point hahaha loser

              • jones says:

                ^ ZING! peeers, ftw.

              • whatevskies says:

Clinton cut stock market restrictions, and it sort of lead to the crash.
Bush was just finishing what we started in the Middle East. We tried to change their government, but when we overthrew their oppressive government, we dropped everything and left.

      • jones says:

that would be because if anyone has a different opinion that stems away from a republican’s “conservatism” – then they blame them for being a flag burning puppy eater.

      • Lindzy says:

Republicans don’t hate people, just gays, foreigners, atheists women… Holy C***!! They’re MORMONS!!

        • whatevskies says:

Actually, I’m atheist, I support gay rights, I don’t mind legal foreigners that make their own living, and I fully support equal rights.
And I guarantee, I’m not the only one.

    • Connery says:

Of course. He’s obviously a model citizen.

      Not a hypocrite. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beJ9yJpR_DA)
Not got a bad temper. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tJjNVVwRCY)
      Not unreasonable or immoral. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IwIRNM5noY)
      Not ignorant. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2KU02lsfH8)

      Evidently a sensible man.

  7. uber says:

    WATCH T.V

  8. Thomas says:

The person’s referring to the Illuminati, if you have not heard of them, look them up. Their symbol is the pyramid (and eye) on the American Dollar Bill.
That’s why they say the one-eyed god. The Illuminati controls the media, economy and war. That’s right, they control how wars start.

    • teatime of death says:

Oh god, I knew these guys would start showing up here sooner or later. Quick hide before he sees a Lady Gaga or Jay-z pic. Or before he notices my avatar.

  9. Thomas says:

    Illuminati

  10. Schmoe says:

Orwell you single minded twits, ORWELL. 1984! It has come and lives among us. The brainwashing continues unabated. The medium IS the massage. All hypnotized by the (fill in the blank) internet, twitter, facebook, my tube , your space, etc. I t doesn’t matter what you “say”, you are enslaved by the medium. ” Oh, It’s on twitter, I must beleieve.” electronic graffitti with about as much intelligence.

    • Philip says:

“The medium IS the massage.” And never has there been one to relax your muscles better.

And also, if you can not see the difference between a decentralized myopia of millions of voluntarily accessible sites (or, for TV, dozens of channels) where one can present oneself with almost perfect anonymity, if one chooses to leave a sign which can be traced without breaking the law (and thus perfectly allow the traced to sue whomever traced them, including the government), and where you have the choice to completely ignore all of this for whatever else you want to do,
and a single channel government-controlled television with perfect surveillance which can’t be switched off, which you are mandatory to watch for certain periods of the day, where the possession of other media is banned, where you cannot communicate with other users, where people commonly ransack your home to check for nonconforming texts, where you can be found guilty of treason for whispering nonconformity in your sleep, where the ultimate mind-raping torture is applied for not conforming to the strict ideals, or simply the act of voluntary sex,
then there must be something seriously wrong with you.

The web is more like the capitalist ideal: everybody is equal, but good production gives one the right to more consumption, without the need of government or centralization – where production is the perceived value of produced information, and consumption is the acquiring of fame. Anarchy without chaos, where everybody is free to do as they please, and to receive the consequences.

By your logic, YOU are enslaved by the supermarket where you buy your food, YOU are enslaved by the government which builds your roads, YOU are enslaved by your employer who pays you to do work. By your logic, any thing which demands any concession from you is something which enslaves you. Any crowd must, by your logic, not care at all for the individual in that crowd.

Youtube et al are media where everybody is capable of being heard, but you are only heard if you are good enough to be heard. It is, quite frankly, the opposite of slavery. It provides services to the consumer, free of charge.

Just shouting a famous writer’s name, and possibly having read one of his books does not make you intelligent. It does not mean you have an insight in the dynamics of the world. There are tens of thousands of people (I’ve met about a dozen in my time no the internet, but most of that time wasn’t about politics, so there are much more than that) who think exactly like You – who have read Orwell and immediately think they’re enlightened, and that they live in a dystopian mind control world with absolutely no freedom. You are not alone in your idiocy. You are just another voice among millions, and your worth is negligible.

      • jones says:

how many times have you preached this well rehearsed speech?

      • Schmoe says:

My God! (literally, choke on that.) You miss my point. I rail at the multitudes who do not think at all but must consume “the latest”. I have watched it evolve in all its ugliness for six decades. I lay no claim to “intelligence” only to awareness. If you have any enlightening revelations as to the “dynamics of the world” please impart them to me, for the world has kicked the crap out of me for over a half century.
        “Have a Nice Day”
        p.s. “massage” was a printers error.(ironic, no?)

        • Philip says:

At least when they think of nothing but consuming the latest, there’s some advancement. Those who do barely anything but go with standard public norms are of all eras. It’s just that in the past, you happened to agree with it, or was just too busy to notice. I personally do not see how constant consumption of information is any worse than religious introversion, or whatever the mindset was of people you grew up with. Intelligent discussion, accurate and thorough news – those have always only been the goals of a select few. A select few who have since then lost dominance in the media, but can still be heard if one knows where to look.
The multitudes have always been sheep. This hasn’t changed in sixty years, and unless immoral actions are preformed, it never will. But stop pretending things were better when you were young. It makes you sound as ignorant as Glenn Beck.

Neither humility (“I lay no claim to “intelligence”") nor seniority (“for six decades”) are valid arguments.

          Good day to you too.
PS: That’s what backspaces and spelling checkers are for.
          PPS: I’m 17, FYI.

  12. Kaat says:

Um, does anyone know what moie this poster is from? I remember it from somewhere, but I don’t know where…

  13. _Xaa_ says:

For those who are wondering, the image is a comment on how don’t have any personal opinions aside from the ones that have been spoon-fed to them by their favorite talking head on the television. People don’t like to think, thinking is work. Thus, they spend their free time in prayerful worship of their favorite TV channel, spouting their opinions rather than thinking, reasearching, and forming opinions of their own.

And for those who automatically yelled “Glen Beck!” and went off on a rant about the evils of FOX television and the glorious wonders of CNN, well, the little girl in front of the TV is YOU.

    • _Xaa_ says:

Bah, hit ‘enter’ too soon, missing words above. First line should read “…a comment on how most people don’t have any…”
