  1. DAK23 says:

*hyperventilating* OMG OMG OMG! Total nerdgasm!!

  2. ddan says:

what sucks is this actually looks really frackin awsome

  3. Shouldn’t Wash be in a red shirt?

  4. Arkle says:

Is there a bigger version out there so I can have this as my Wallpaper?

  5. Roxy says:

Shouldn’t Kaylee be in a yellow shirt?

  6. SchizoAuthoress says:

@Roxy – Red is Engineering; gold is Command; blue is Science/Medical. Kaylee’s role is most like Scotty, who was in Engineering.

    • Sparkles says:

If gold is always command, why did Picard and Riker wear red in TOS?

      • natasha says:

the uniform colors changed. in the TNG era, red is command, gold is security/ops, blue is still science/medical.

        • AFP says:

I like to joke that there was a popular uprising where the Red Shirts took over and forced the Gold Shirts to be the buttmonkeys of the system. The movie era uniforms (where everybody wore red jackets) was obviously a failed attempt at reform to avert the oncoming uprising.

So yeah, I have a lot of free time on my hands. Love this thing.

      • Softpaw says:

It got changed for The next Gen. these are Original shirts and colors.

      • Danflatpick says:

Neither Picard nor Riker ever appeared in TOS.

  7. kcth says:

Nope, in TOS engineers wore red, just look at Scottie.

  8. Chass says:

This just made my day. And my day really needed to be made.

  9. Buyn says:

River was right. He does look better in red.

  10. Captain Alec McCray says:

Alright, call me a party pooper, but the lore universes of Star Trek and Firefly shouldn’t mix; ever. Someone should throw that flashing red blasphemy text from the recent post with Robert Pattinson onto this one.

Any other Browncoats out there agree with me?

    • Lady.Khrystal says:

I’m a Browncoat, but I don’t agree. As long as the shirt assignments are correct, I’m cool. Besides, I would pay money to hear Simon say, “It’s worse than that; he’s dead, Mal.” or something.

    • Artemis Eire says:

Well, Captain, it would seem that somebody thought it was a good idea. And this is not Blasphemy, this is fanfic. Nothing wrong with imagination.

    • DevilBunnies says:

I would not necessarily say “Blasphemy” but I would still see Mal and company as outsiders in the Trek universe, not as a Federation crew.

      • Captain Alec McCray says:

I guess that’s what I meant to say, you wouldn’t catch Cap’n Mal in a Federation/Alliance costume unless he was pulling a heist.

Perhaps blasphemy was too strong of a word.

        Cheers all!

  11. Bix Nood says:

Oh Firefly, the poor Outlaw Star ripoff.

    • Tarnation says:

I would say more of a Cowboy Bebop rip off. Outlaw Star while good in its own right wasn’t quite as epic.

      • LizardWizard says:

And not so much a ripoff as an homage, I would think. Seeing as how Bebop is about bounty hunters and the Firefly crew have almost all had bounties on their heads at one point or another. But both Cowboy Bebop and Firefly being “space westerns” puts them in a small, yet-to-be-explored genre that more people need to create stuff for.

As a fan of both shows (though woefully undereducated in Trek lore, just started to watch Original and haven’t seen much beyond a few scattered episodes of the other series), I find this concept… intriguing. It would imply that the crew are on the right side of the law, rather than outlaws, which was part of their charm. But I could definitely see Mal as a starship captain known for disrespecting authority and having controversial taste in crew members.

…Actually that sounds like it would be a pretty good series.

      • Bix Nood says:

        No its Outlaw Star.

        Malcolm Reynolds- Gene Starwind
        Kaylee- James “Jim” Hawking
        River Tam -Melfina
        Jayne Cobb- Aisha Clanclan
        Zoe Washburne- Suzuka

The only real difference is Firefly got canned before they could rip it off more.

  12. Doodle says:

That’s amazing. My faith in this site is (almost) restored ;)

  13. roberttt says:

i had never heard of this show until two days ago when my step mom bought and now i see it everywhere, except on t.v.

    • bionelly says:

      Ouch. :(

(But actually, if you watch the right shows, you can still at least see references to it sometimes. Halloween episode of Castle, anyone? ;) )

      • crossingtheline says:

First Daily Squee: The pic itself.

Second Daily Squee: Your comment! I -loved- the Castle Halloween episode, for exactly that reason! :)

  14. saj says:

    I…I…. wow…awesome.

  15. Nathreee says:

Am I the only who hates to see Zoe like that? She would refuse to wear a uniform like that!

    • Joei says:

I was thinking just the same, you could try to get her into that but I’m pretty sure you’d end up dead for your troubles.

    • Grive says:

Not necessarily. The that getup does have some slink.

As far as I recall, Zoe had no issues with sexy. Her only issue was that sexy dresses ain’t very conductive for field operations.

  16. Shipoopi says:

the only good thing about either: the women

  17. Styrophoamicus says:

I do believe that I have just totally, utterly lost my s**t.

  18. Misha says:

I am crying over how awesome this is.

    No, really, I am.

Not floods of tears, but enough to blur my screen…

  19. Ari Gold says:

    that is not funny

  20. Penfold says:

Not sure River or Inarra should be in a uniform – neither was technically part of the crew initially. Inarra was NEVER part of the crew, technically. River became part of the crew after Wash… still can’t say it… so – if we’re pre-Serenity, River and Inarra should be in tacky clothes that have absolutely NO function and could not easily be worn in real life and have to be taped in place, like original Trek did to most of their female guest stars!!

  21. Penfold says:

And further… if we’re going with the idea that Inarra is ‘medical,’ as in “counselor,” (which I think would be appropriate), then they should be in TNG outfits and colors, River & Jayne would be in Security colors, and Book should be in a Guinan outfit!!!!!! That’d be a screaming HOOT!!!!

Kudos to the photo-shop. It is brilliant.

  22. CDThe says:

Guh. Wha. Holy mother of toast that is awesome

  23. PenPoetic says:

    BLASPHEMY.

  24. Kergillian says:

Still the best looking crew in the Verse!

  25. Lolabonne says:

Ugh. I thought Abrams messed up Star Trek. Turns out it COULD have been worse.

  26. slaggingham says:

    Nerdgasm.

Meanwhile, putting all the Firefly bashers on my “first against the wall when the revolution comes” list.

The fact that Firefly only got 14 episodes, while “The Bachelor” has had 14 seasons, is the best argument that human civilization has failed and needs to be destroyed.

The only thing that’s saving you meatbags from extinction is that you brought “Futurama” back.

  27. polkaface says:

Am I the only one who have absolutely no idea what this is about?

  28. Lissfirefly says:

    I just ah..nerdgasmed..a bit..there. X0

  29. brmbug says:

My brain is now fully enveloped in the bosom of insanity.

  30. Cute-'n-Nerdy says:

Does it bother anyone else that they put Kaylee’s head on a black body? It makes me giggle a little, but it also supports the argument that the two cultures can’t be fused perfectly.

  31. ronniecat says:

I’m clearly the only person here who has no idea what “Firefly” is or why it is a “nerdgasm” that they are in Star Trek uniforms. Perhaps I shall use teh Google machine and do some websearch.

  32. Dani says:

LOLOLOL Zoe in a minidress. Not in this lifetime. Or, you know… that one.

  33. NicolaQ1987 says:

I’d love to see someone do this with the SG-Atlantis mob. All colour coded.
    Red – Command(Zoey & Mal), Blue – Science(?Book/Inara?), Yellow – Medics(Simon), Green – Engineers(Kaylee), Black – Marines/Etc (Jayne & River). Or something. IYKWIM.

  34. Lady Juse says:

    Win.

  35. Calli says:

Shouldn’t Wash and Book be redshirts? Just sayin’….

  36. jenni says:

    ah, adam. *drool*

  37. matt says:

ahahaha awesome! and ya i was pissed when wash died :(

  38. Kithylion says:

Maybe this is what could’ve happened if the Independents won the war.

    Love it.

  39. Paws4thot says:

Kaylee – Still hotter than Inara, even in Starfleet uniforms.

  40. ACheezBerger says:

What the…? No, Shepherd and Wash get red shirts!

  41. Tyler says:

    Photoshop god!!!!!!!!!!
