  1. Chely says:

This is why Mom wants her very own Wii for Christmas

  2. Cameron Winter says:

Is it me, or does this look more like a lightsaber? I might get one of these, purely because it looks more stylish than the standar Wii-mote

  3. Just some chick says:

They’re also releasing a DW themed DS accessory kit (complete with sonic screwdriver stylus!).

  4. Aletheia says:

Unfortunately, as I read it on Amazon, it will only be available in the U.K.. I really hope Nintendo makes it available in the States, cause I so WANT IT!!

    • MoKa says:

Not unfortunate for those of us in the UK though :o )

Makes a change (sorry to gloat)

    • Miss Kitty Fantastico says:

Yep, I doubt we’ll be getting it here in the states. :( But trying to be optimistic… I can’t see a reason why we couldn’t use the remote… and I also plan on getting the DS game / mini sonic screwdriver stylus. There shouldn’t be any region issues with that.

  5. L4a says:

It looks like something *entirely* different…good god. :|

  6. elfmagik says:

Only available in the UK? My son will be crushed! Heck, I’ll be crushed :(

  7. BBkat says:

Only U.K, gona have to order it then and have it shipped over.
Doctor Who for the Wii, that is AWESOME!!!!!!

    • Miss Kitty Fantastico says:

Don’t get too excited. :( Region encoding and also its in PAL. But fingers crossed the remote will work.

      • Paws4thot says Pundit Kitchen is Free!! says:

Do you blame us? After all, PAL is a TLA for “Perfect Television At Last”! ;)

        • Miss Kitty Fantastico says:

lol. No blame, only envy. :) You guys and gals with your sexy accents… and your Doctor Who… and your Black Adder, Red Dwarf, Mr. Bean, Life on Mars, Monty Python, etc. etc. etc. We are merely at the mercy of BBC America and public broadcast channels. ;)

  8. mechas8n says:

Anyone know if you can use Peripherals like this on a US wii? or have they done some bastardy thing like made them incompatible. Because Yeah, in this world of the internet and global commerce “Nah, You cant play this because you are in a country where not enough people want to play this.” isn’t going to fly.

  9. lolspatz says:

that is so cool must get it

  10. Darth Vader says:

i don’t see how this is on here instead of bob’s house of video games

  11. WonderlandOpera says:

    Want…now…

  12. Melissa Barron says:

My son is two and knows what a sonic screwdrivers is… Daddy watches “Blue Box” and my son grabs the nearest screwdriver shaped item and starts pointing it at things. My son also knows how to play with the Wii… we need one of these

  13. Acey says:

I thought it was a light saber. This hurts.

  14. Scinlao says:

    Oddly…I find this…epic! :D

    *insert epic face here*

  15. Annie says:

I need one of these. How much are they, and where can I get one?

  16. Anonymous says:

Seriously people? It looks like a vibrator.

  17. Mallorae says:

Who looks at a Wii remote and thinks, “Hmmm, this could be a bit more sonic?”

  18. Ellz says:

It’s things like this that make me genuinely proud to be British.

  19. PhoenixM says:

One bad thing about it, though, is that it won’t fit into a Wii Zapper (or most any other gadget designed to hold a WiiMote.

    • GIRSDOOMETTE says:

who cares???!!!!! how much and when and where is it available? and if not in the US, who’s starting the petition to get it over here? I’ll sign!!

  20. Kat says:

    WHERE CAN I FIND THIS???

  21. erin says:

omg i know that people say you ca get over excited but i dont give a crap im uber excited for this and anyone who says im too excited about it can mind their own business

  22. sharlynK says:

    OMG LIGHTSABER WIIMOTE.

    *…and trekkies*

  23. calumbo says:

well i know what i will be spending my student loan on.
can’t wait for the game to be released!

  24. Jheren says:

-3 points for using the Master’s lazer screwdriver as the first one.

will still be -1 point till they do something from the ORIGINAL series.

some of us are old-school like that. mmm jelly-babies.

    • Joei says:

That’s the 11th Doctors Sonic Screwdriver, not the Masters Laser Screwdriver.

    • Kate says:

-11 points for not recognizing it’s ELEVEN’S screwdriver.

Really? The Master’s laser screwdriver? Why don’t they just start with Miss Foster’s sonic pen? Or Sarah Jane’s sonic lipstick?

      FAIL.

    • GIRSDOOMETTE says:

wow…I’ve only been a DW fan for maybe 6 months and I knew exactly what that was… poor, poor you. Of course I DID spend my whole summer break reading fanfiction, and watching every episode of New Who…except for The End of Time…can’t find those episodes where they’ll run properly on my lappy for some reason…anyways, every episode of this that I could find – not to mention I’m half way through Torchwood… I am such a fangirl…

  25. :D says:

    I thought it was a lightsaber :(

  26. davincigrrrl says:

I honestly thought that Nintendo had finally broken into an entirely new market of interactive ‘adult only’ games. This has been a tiny dream of mine ever since they handed out wii-mote condoms with the original version. Strange? Yes, probably, but I don’t care. They could make millions.

  27. Cosplay Horatio says:

I want that for X-mas plus the DS styluses and I hope the nunchuck looks like a mini-Dalek so the thumbstick looks like the eyestalk and the Wii can look like the TARDIS with the revolving blue light on the top.

  28. Kate says:

DAMN YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK ‘DOCTOR WHO’ IS ONLY POPULAR IN BRITAIN!!!!

…how much is a British Wii going to cost me? Can they hook up to American TVs? And is it okay to have a power converter running one?

I’m getting the Wiimote though. That ought to work – right?

  29. ilivzfortimelordz says:

I’d buy a Wii just for this :D
