Darth Vader: Just Some British Guy?

Before George Lucas cast James Earl Jones as the ominous voice of Darth Vader, actor David Prowse provided all the Sith Lord’s original dialogue. Although Lucas planned on using voice-over all along, Prowse still delivered his lines like a pro.

It’s funny to imagine Vader as an intergalactic Brit, politely pillaging the galaxy for The Empire, but it just doesn’t deliver the sense of fear and terror projected by James Earl Jones.

For all the horrible things he’s done to the “Star Wars” franchise, it’s nice to know there was once some good in George Lucas. Nice move, Lucas. Nice move…

Spoiler alert: Audrina Patridge was sent home last night on “Dancing With the Stars”, but her mom ain’t even mad, yo. Lynn was out last night getting smashed and being a hot mess, but still had time to save a few choice words for the haters (Lauren Conrad?), before being dragged off by one of her handlers.

Let me just say one thing: thank the lord for stage parents who live vicariously through their “celebrity” children. They make my day, even though they are usually awful testaments to humanity. I would say Lynn is about two steps above the “Toddlers and Tiaras” parents, but still way below normal. At least she was nice to the camera man. That’s always a plus I guess…

Darth Vader: Now On Sale!
