I am extremely creep-ed out now, thank you.

  2. fran says:

    wow just, wow….

  3. Jambare says:

Well, if there is a pattern then I’d say Justin is gonna be extremely famous! Look where Donny is today!!!

  4. CheesyBalone says:

MY MOTHER HAS ALWAYS SAID BIEBS IS JUST DONNY OSMOND. I’M HAPPY SOMEONE HAS NOTICED. :D

  5. Me says:

    Oh $#!+….

  6. Ish Kabibble says:

    Yeah, but Donny has talent.

    • pgrantm says:

      Yah right.

    • zillah says:

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

    • El says:

I think it’s more persistence than talent. After years and years of trying, Donny Osmond has actually become an decent Broadway performer and singer. From a technical standpoint, he has a good voice, even if his musical instincts are lacking.

      • sarah says:

interesting that you said that, ’cause i would agree about the musical instincts part… maybe i’ll look at some of his later stuff though… people can improve… in his early years i thought donny was nothing but boring and mediocre, sure he could sing on key, but i didn’t feel he had any pizazz as a soloist… after watching beiber’s movie i realized he really is very talented, i saw clips of him without these fancy studio effects as a very young child, he had a great “belting out” voice, was able to sing blues and country soulfully, was a good drummer and guitar player and had personality… I’m a 29 yr. old professional musician too, not some bias 12 yr. old girl… you should seriously consider watching the beiber movie… it might change some of your opinions of him that are based on the common trash talk that goes around about him…

  7. pgrantm says:

People act like pop music is some horrible new development; but it’s the same as it was years ago — no better or worse. The same squeaky-clean, mass-produced, over-marketed pop stars, with music that appeals to the same young, impressionable kids (who haven’t developed any musical taste yet).

  8. Amanda says:

So we have a talk show, game show, reality TV hosting, and a few forays into musical theatre and occasional self-parodies to look forward to?

  9. Lemons says:

Run while you still can Justin!

  10. jamisings says:

Only problem with this – Donny Osmond actually has talent as he came along pre-Autotune. Justin Bieber is post-Autotune and does not have talent.

    • SuperFamous says:

      Donny has talent? LOLOLOL

    • sarah says:

i didn’t think much of him either, until i saw his movie… i’ve seen clips of him from a very young age belting it out while playing guitar… jamisings, he had personality, good pitch, good tone and was a good instrumentalist as well… don’t base your review of his talent on his top 2 overly produced hits alone…
trust me, he’s talented and i’m a professional musician with perfect pitch (singer) and daughter of a concert pianist.

  11. kitkat says:

    My mom loved him haha

  12. Yeah, I still hate Donny Osmond, too.

  13. Jambare says:

yeah, donny does have talent….hmmmm……then why the comparison? what’s wrong with ‘clean’ music?

    • Melissa says:

It would seem that since Donny doesn’t have a string of ex-wives and ex-lovers, a stint or two in rehab, a DUI, maybe a sex tape floating around the interwebs, and/or sexually explicit or anarchistic lyrics, he can’t possibly have any kind of artistic credibility. By all means, let’s discount a really nice guy like Donny Osmond and heap all our praise on the likes of Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, and gangsta (c)rap thugs…

      • Jambare says:

let’s not forget Lady Gaga……(just saying)…..whatever happened to enjoying clean living and wholesomeness? I’d rather have Donny Osmond as a roll model than any of the others you mentioned…I agree with your thinking by the way…

        • Melissa says:

Thanks, Jambara. Glad to know someone else feels the same way. I have ben an Osmond fan for over 40 years. Seen them in concert 40+ times, and have met Donny, Marie, the other brothers, their parents, most of thier wives, and several of their children many times over the years. And I can say that they are all genuinely nice people, talented and hardworking, and people of strong faith. They don’t deserve the knocks constantly aimed at them.

          • Jambare says:

Unfortunately, it’s the genuinely nice people that get knocked around all the time. Sad really. I too have been an Osmond fan for years! Started way back when with “One Bad Apple”!! Saw them in concert a few times as well, and have met them too. They are genuinely nice people and hard working and very talented. And yes, a people of strong faith. At least they’ve stuck to their standards all these years and haven’t let fame go to their heads!!

            • Melissa says:

Jambara – did you do penpals and friendship books? We may have known each other back in the 70′s and 80′s :) LOL

              • Jambare says:

I sure DID do penpals and friendship books!!! OMG!! Wouldn’t that be a hoot if we were penpals at one time?! Friendship books….wow….now THAT’s taking me back a ways!!!!

                • Melissa says:

Hey – if you want, email me at evno176 at yahoo. That’s an alternate address I use. Let me know your real name and we can see if we knew each other back in the day!

  14. Becksibee says:

OMG This is weeeeeeird! – Donny’s Secret Love child maybe???

  15. Phil says:

so… Is Justin a member of a relatively new religion with one of the poorest starting myths around (short of scientTomology of course).
If you don’t know what I am talking about, Donny is a mormon, a religion which started in he 19th century.

  16. Aaron Hong says:

MY HEMMORHOIDS THE DEPENDS THEY DO NOTHING

  17. Jessi says:

I’m gonna join in with all of the others here who have already pointed this out, Donny actually has talent, whereas Justin does not.

Seriously. I was (and still am) a Backstreet Boys fan, but I won’t deny the fact that the guys from N’Sync (or whatever other boyband) can sing well without the help of a computer.

I really don’t think you could say the same of Beiber.

    • sarah says:

For his age Beiber’s much more talented than Donny was. Donny had no personality and his vocal stylings were bland. Watch the Beiber movie, he was able to do soul, blues and country well at a very young age. He had 10 times more personality. I’m a professional musician with a rare gift of perfect pitch.

  18. Robin says:

I pointed out a picture of Donny Osmond to my 10 year old niece at a TGI Friday’s. The conversation went like this.

Me: Do you see that picture on the wall there? Doesn’t it look like Justin Bieber?

    Niece: Yeah, it does.

    Me: His name’s Donny Osmond.

    Niece: That’s a GUY?!?!

  19. Wes says:

So is Justin gonna bang his sister too?

  20. bueno yo soy mexicana he sido y soy fan de los osmonds desde hace 35 años y como ellos no habra otra familia con ese talento, cariño y amor que transmiten a sus fans y su familia.y no hay comparacion con donny y el niño bibber por dios.

  21. T. Baggher says:

    Osmond has talent, tho.
