  1. German Guy says:

Thought it was Charlie Sheen. o.O

    • Kregain says:

That is sick, he does look kinda like he’s turning into Sheen right there. Creepy Doctor Sheen powers perhaps?

      • SparkInTheNight says:

IMO, he looks more like Mr. Bean. Creepy Doctor Bean powers.

        • cremela says:

Argh! Suppressed… memories… 1999…. Children in Need… special… *goes off to meditate an re-suppress unwanted memories*

          • Rara says:

oh, but that was so funny

            • ZarathustraLogan says:

Yeah, it was funny! What kind of sick emotionless freak are you?!?

              • cremela says:

It was funny, but the guy who wrote that (a parody) is now actually the head writer! It was a great parody, but the thought of that happening to the REAL show…

                • SparkInTheNight says:

haha I want to see a female Doctor. That’d be… interesting.

                  • Maia says:

Sadly, I think, unlikely. If they were to suddenly establish time lord sex change as canon, I think a lot of people would just think they were trying too hard, and others would find it plain wrong. I wish our society had come further than simply identifying people by their gender, but alas, we still care if someone has a penis or not…

                    • Vikavid says:

Look at it this way, by the 51st century we should be over it.

                      • Maia says:

                        One should hope so! :)

                        • SparkInTheNight says:

I hope so too. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they wrote another Dr. Who spin-off series involving The Doctor’s daughter. If you remember, in the 4th season he has a daughter that has the same traits as a time lord – she has two hearts and comes back to life after being “killed.” She then launches into space to see the stars and help better the universe. That seems pretty time – lordian (did I just invent a word?) to me. Would she then be considered a time lady?

                        • Maia says:

Could be they give Jenny her own show, though I think it’ll have to wait until after Georgia and David’s wedding, and until the baby’s born and preferably no longer breast feeding, at which point the idea might have lost its appeal a bit and people won’t really get it anymore.

                        • Paws4thot says:

It could work, but I hope they can resist the temptation to turn Jenny into River Song.

River song should remain an enigma, wrapped up in a connundrum, and surrounded by a puzzle.

                    • Kid Diz says:

Has it ever been established that our beloved Doctor actually does have some Gallifreyan equivalent to conventional earth family jewels?

                      • Paws4thot says:

There have been at least 2 female Time Lords in “Old Who”. Romana, played by Mary Tamm and another actress who’s name I can’t recall off-hand, and “The Rani”, played by Kate O’Mara.

Romana did regenerate, hence why she was played by 2 different actresses.

                      • Maia says:

Well, there is that comment in New Earth when Cassandra is in his body and says, “So many parts!” Then there’s that thing about the Doctor’s mum supposedly being human, from the Paul McGann TV movie (though most people, including the writers, usually just conveniently ignore that), which would suggest that time lords and humans can mate, meaning they must have compatible plumbing. Finally, as Paws says, there are female time lords, so they do have gender.

                        • Nicki says:

In one of the original series its actually stated.
One of his female companions is standing there and she’s says I believe “So… you’re basically the same as a human? I mean you look the same, and appear to be the same and mentions females …. so you are the SAME?”
His responce was “Yes dear, I am exactly the same, well a little more advanced but years of de-evolution do that to a species”
I’m going to say two hearts is the only really big difference between humans and time lords…..
I apologize if anything is spelt wrong I just crawled out of bed.

                        • Maia says:

There we have it, then. :) I haven’t seen that, thanks for sharing! By any chance, would you happen to remember which Doctor it was?

                        • Nicki says:

Yeah, It was number six I believe, with his rather annoying Companion.

                        • Maia says:

Ah, see, I haven’t seen much six yet… I’m a sucker for chronology, so while I’ve seen a few serials out of context, I try not to. :P

                        • Emerald63 says:

@Maia… A sucker for chronology… for a show built on the concept of time travel??? (O_o)

                        • Maia says:

The Doctor travels in time, but HIS timeline is constant. I want to see THAT timeline chronologically. The fact that I started with New Who can’t really be helped, but when I go back and watch the old stuff I want to start at the beginning.

    • G says:

whew! glad I wasn’t the only one who thought it was Charlie. Maybe that’s his next regeneration…. is that Amy Pond?

    • someone says:

Wow, when I saw this picture the other day in one of those banners of images that need captions, I also thought it was Charlie Sheen. I was more than a little confused as to why he would be posing with Karen Gillian. It makes a little more sense now.

    • Icravejellybabies says:

      I, too, cried Charlie Sheen

  2. Bubba says:

That aint Tennant…. Do not know who he is… but that aint Tennant or Smith.

  3. JessiKAT says:

It kinda looks like Tennant from his Barty Crouch Jr days, but im not 100% convinced.
I really though it was Charlie Sheen too

  4. Dex1138 says:

Add another to the Sheen list! I was really trying to figure out how the hell those two got together for a photo.

  5. Mary says:

    It’s definitely Tennant. 100%.
Now why are they together in a picture? :P

  6. Kelsey says:

It’s Tennant. He was hosting a Radio Times award ceramony which Karen Gillian and I think Matt Smith were attending so they got this picture together :)

  7. Maria says:

Tennant and Pond together…the universe just exploded from the awesomeness.

  8. tiomela says:

Wow, I would swear that was Charlie Sheen…. Creepy

  9. Kate says:

Definitely David Tennant (although I agree, he looks odd), but WHY WASN’T IT LISTED THAT IT’S KAREN GILLAN TOO?!?! She’s fantastic!

  10. S.W.I.F.T. says:

As great as Karen (love her!) and Tennant are…They do know the art of great wide-eyed acting! XD

  11. You says:

Finally, a picture where the boys and girls can fangasm together.

  12. Tuiteyfruity says:

    Rofl Rozzi needs Whosday Tuesday.
just like Star Trek has Shatnerday.
and yes i know some ppl think Wednesday is better, but i don’t think Shatnerday was on Saturday because the beginning sounds kinda the same, Shat and Sat.
    Whos and Tues.

    • mrsjessicawho says:

Agreed. I want a day dedicated to Who. Would be beautiful.

    • Vikavid says:

Tuitey, please, I’m with you on the Whosday Tuesday, but it’s because the DO sound the same, not because of the first letter.

I know you mean well, and the first time you said it I thought it was a typo, but now it just hurts my brain when I read “i don’t think Shatnerday was on Saturday because the beginning sounds kinda the same, Shat and Sat.
      Whos and Tues.”

It seems like you are arguing with yourself when you say you DON’T think.

      • Tuiteyfruity says:

whoa! thanks for pointing that out for me :) i will make sure it is grammatically correct next time there is a Doctor Who LoL posted

      • jamisings says:

She’s fighting with me because I insist it needs to be Wednesday. Whosday Wednesday makes more sense since they’re both Ws.

Besides, it would make a nice middle of the week pick me up.

HOWEVER they need to upload ALL THE DOCTORS! My first Doctor was #5. I want the other Doctors.

    • mm1145 says:

      every day could be doctor-day

  13. Hannah says:

Well, Tennant is starting to look a bit like a creeper and Karen’s face doesn’t help the fact that he looks like he is a creeper. I’m not sure if it’s the white suit or the face he is making but it is not working for him.

    • Hapqy says:

Yes; Karen’s expression really does add to the “it’s Charlie Sheen” confusion. What’s he muttering to her?!

  14. sovengarde says:

Thats Bloody David Tennant, But why is he with Karen Gillan? Shes Matt Smiths companion and only showed up in season two once as a Cultist seer

  15. Kitty says:

    She looks a bit uncomfortable.

  16. Serendipity says:

Its because his hair looks so much darker…and that face hes making…but thats the Doctor…neat pic..

Yeah…sovengarde….Karen is the Doctors companion…and David Tennant will always be the Doctor…as will Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston and all the previous incarnations…get a grip.

  17. Agent Gibbs says:

This is what we should have got instead of Matt Smith, he’s ok but he’s not as good, Tennant’s Doctor should have survived
Imagine the levels of Epic if this were to happen

    • Jessi says:

If this pairing were to happen, in my opinion. it would go against Ten’s love with Rose and his bestfriendship with Donna.

      • MadMabz says:

I totally agree, Ive stopped watching Dr Who since Amy Pond came along. I cant stand the character or the actress. Matt Smith is too young to be a Dr, he seems too teenage. Bring back Tennant!

        • Jumping Jehosaphat says:

I actually cannot stand David Tennant. I have to say that Matt Smith is my favorite Doctor since Tom Baker. I think Amy is adorible too.
Matt Smith is 28, and while that is technically the youngest Doctor, it is hardly a teenager.

          • Maia says:

I love all of them! Eccleston, Tennant and Smith are all equal in my eyes, favourites since they’re what I feel closest to never having watched old who as a child. Of the old Who doctors, Jon Pertwee is my favourite.

  18. Miss Kitty Fantastico says:

Heh. It momentarily confused me and threw off my “Who-dar” to see Karen Gillan with David Tennant and not Matt Smith.
    1) David. Still hot.
    2) I may not have the school girl crush on Matt that I had (ok, have) on David, but I think Matt is doing a great job. I look forward to next season.

  19. ickday says:

**sobs** why???? why does he have to look so bad in this picture?!?!?!?!!?!? I <3 him so much but he looks like absolute crap in this. And give Gillian a nameplate for gods sake!!!!!

  20. zage says:

It almost looks like she has no bottoms on, cool. :D

  21. Zadkiel says:

    Continuity error!

  22. Perseus says:

    What? What?! WHAT?!
    Tenth Doctor meets Amy?
UNIVERSE BREAKING! NEED BIG BANG 3!

  23. elli says:

At first I was like “How does everyone think he looks like Charlie Sheen?” so I glanced again and went “YEP! Totally looks like him!”

Those two would’ve been a fun pair in the show. ^_^

  24. RichMahogany says:

At first glance I thought it was Charlie Sheen and Jenna Fischer…I was all “PAM!! LOOK OUT!! IT’S THE SCRANTON STRANGLER!!!”

  25. Maia says:

I can actually understand what you guys are saying about him looking like Charlie Sheen, though I didn’t at first. I’m wondering if maybe the reason why so many of you are making that connection is that you’re not used to seeing David in much of anything except Doctor Who (other than possibly his brief role in Harry Potter)? I think for those of us who have also seen Blackpool, Learners, Einstein & Eddington, Hamlet or, most recently, Single Father, or any of the other things he’s been in, he’s more recognisable out of that context…

    • Vikavid says:

No Maia, I hear what you’re saying, but you have to remember that a lot of us are Yanks who see pics of Charlie Sheen a lot, and he’s been in the news lately, so it’s not so much of not seeing the best Doctor as himself, but that we are used to seeing Sheen.

      • Maia says:

Oh, sure. What I mean is that even with all that people might not be as likely to confuse them if they were more used to seeing David in other roles as well.

        • Vikavid says:

Maybe, I really think though it has more to do with lighting and camera angles for this particular photo. I recognized him as DT, but I can see where people are coming from with the Sheen aspect.

  26. Jynxedcharm says:

What the heck is Amy Pond and Ten doing in the same picture?

  27. forge says:

Right so what’s Karen Gillan doing with David Tennant then?

  28. GIRSDOOMETTE says:

It’s funny how people keep commenting that David looks creepy in this, and my mind keeps going back to his part in Randall and Hopkirk! Anyone who’s seen that knows true Creepy!David-ness.
