He’s gone shirtless in at least two Broadway musicals, and as far as I know, it’s not possible to airbrush or photoshop a live human being. The abs look pretty good in person.
It is possible to airbrush someone in real life. It is done in Hollywood all the time. The movie 300 is a prime example of some yummy abs with some airbrushing to add definition for the cameras.
Um, 300/Hollywood = real life? Not quite the same as Broadway dear.
Sweetheart, it is still very possible to airbrush abs onto someone, even on broadway. The same way that it is possible to airbrush makeup. Good job on failing there, though.
You’re Special is correct. I recall Victoria’s Secret model Selita Eubanks saying that the models have several pounds of body makeup on them for the televised runway show. Also, Robert Pattinson said that his “abs” were all done with makeup. All you need is some bronzer and a talented makeup artist.
I don’t doubt that this guy has good abs, but they still look heavily airbrushed.

Serious answer – Some women don’t like hairy chests, just like others have a preference for a specific hair colour, and some men have a preference for a specific hair colour, or big or little boobies.

Honestly, I think his whole upper body, not just abs, looked better in the Rocky Horror episode than they do here. Abs are nice, but pecks are necessary too.
Hugh Jackman was the best one, he’s an older guy, has a little hair on his chest, has been on broadway and in movies, those really are his abs, not airbrushed. He has it all, even a great accent, as far as I’m concerned they could put him on there every week.
